Why are you doing these practices? What do you want from life? In practice, we look at what you want from life. Think about what your deepest wishes are, and what is your life’s calling or mission. You may have never thought about it or are striving with goals to get somewhere and achieve certain things. This question is not a goal to get anywhere. It’s about seeing what has a deeper meaning to you with all that you have gone through in your life, to maybe help you to make sense of it.

Let's take a few minutes now to settle and explore connecting to your heart's deepest wish for your life.

To help develop a connection and nurture some feelings around what you want for your life.

Going deeper into your heartfelt wishes for your life.

To help you find meaning and purpose is what's really important for you.

Looking at how we can nurture that idea.

Seed growing so you can become it.

Using this meditation practice to embody it.

Take some time now just to reflect and ponder this idea.

Feel it and become it.

Allow the body to settle onto the surface you're resting on.

Chair,

Bed or lying down.

So the body feels supported.

So you can give yourself a few minutes to reflect on this.

Also acknowledging any thoughts and past experiences that might be telling you why you might think or believe it's not possible.

Any negative chatter of the mind of why you can't do it.

Any obstacles and reasons that might be in the way blocking it.

Things that are blocking you from your deepest wishes.

The opposites of what you want.

In these courses we show you some tools how to deal with these blocks and limiting beliefs in the meditation practice.

So you can become it.

Embody it.

Live your heart's deepest wish and life's mission.

Not trying to fix anything.

Not trying to get rid of anything.

Make anything better or change anything.

Not trying to get anywhere.

In these practices we're learning to accept ourselves and life just as it is.

Keep coming back to focus.

To grow and connect with what's in your heart.

You can stop at any time if you need to.

Let the weight of the body drop.

Gravity.

Body supported by the surfaces you're resting on.

Settling.

Senses opening.

Aware of any sounds that are coming and going.

Smells.

Tastes.

Touch.

Images.

Body settling.

So you're present to connect with what's in your heart and your deepest wish for life.

Also be learning how to connect with feelings of inner comfort and safety.

Just feeling the sensation of the body.

Even if there's any discomfort.

Giving it space to unravel.

The whole body is sensation.

Face and head is sensation.

Left arm and right arm.

All of the upper body is sensation.

Pelvis.

The left leg and the right leg is sensation.

Breathe out and feel the sensation of breath.

The body being breathed.

You can use the out breath to stay present.

Breathing out slowly through an imaginary straw.

Learning to stay with any sensation for one second and then one more second.

Just feel the sensation of the body.

You can soothe it with the sensation of breath or the feeling of inner comfort and safety.

You need it at any moment.

That's how there's a stillness behind any sensation.

Feel into a space as the watcher.

It's free of any sensation.

The ultimate freedom and safety.

Feel back into the body.

The body on the surface that it's resting on.

Just reflect on a few things.

What do you want from life?

Curious of the voices and the words that come up.

What does life want from you?

What are the feelings you want to connect with and experience in this life?

Is there something inside you calling you?

Your own personal mission from your life experiences?

The use of and help others from your experiences.

How does that feel?

You may not have words.

There's maybe just this inner knowing or sense of something that's calling you.

Could this or does this give you a sense of meaning?

What you've been through?

Could it give you some purpose to help others going through something similar?

Is there something you could do to leave the world a better place?

People remember you for your good qualities.

There are these things you want from life.

How do you want to feel?

How would you feel if you did them?

To make use of your time in the world.

Would this help to give you a sense of meaning and purpose within your life?

Doing something useful?

Notice are there any opposites?

If a critical thought comes in?

A judgment about yourself?

What you can't do or why you can't do it?

Can you start to just to notice these?

And with practice,

We can help you work through any limiting beliefs or negative self-talk.

What do you really want from life?

What does life want from you?

Is there a positive phrase or word,

A sentence you can come up with?

Or just this sense of something beyond words and knowing?

Become it.

Confirm it's happening.

Maybe a phrase like,

I'm clean and sober,

Happy,

Peaceful and content.

Accepting myself as I am.

Keep focusing on your mission.

Developing yourself.

Developing the feeling and calling to become a better person,

The best version of you.

For you,

Your family and the world around you.

Imagine and sense how that feels.

Become it.

When you're ready,

Start coming back.

Bringing with you any thoughts or realizations of what you want,

What's in your heart,

Your deepest wishes.

Coming back,

Opening the eyes.

Moving the toes,

The fingers.

Awake and present.

So this practice is complete.

When you're ready,

You may want to write down some notes about this.

You can keep developing a positive sentence,

A phrase,

Or words,

Your heart's deepest wish or mission for life.

Go well out there.
