Welcome to this gentle heart healing breath meditation.
This practice today is here to guide you in nurturing and healing the emotional wounds that may reside in your heart,
Offering you space to let go and to soften.
So to begin,
I encourage you to find a comfortable,
Safe space,
Either sitting or lying down.
I encourage you to close your eyes or to soften your gaze and to begin to connect with the natural rhythm of your breath.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest.
Become aware of the gentle movement of air in and out of your lungs,
And as you connect with the natural rhythm of your breath,
Allow yourself to fully arrive in this moment,
Letting go of whatever has come before this and whatever is to come after.
And now gently place one or both of your hands over your heart,
Feeling the warmth of your hands against your chest.
And as you breathe in,
Imagine the breath flowing directly into your heart space,
Nourishing and healing it.
And as you exhale,
Release any tension or emotional weight that no longer serves you.
So breathing in healing energy,
Breathing out heaviness,
Continuing this flow for several breaths,
Giving your heart permission to soften and to expand with every inhale.
Continuing to breathe in healing energy,
Continuing to breathe out heaviness,
Every inhale allowing your heart to soften and to expand.
And now visualize a warm,
Gentle light surrounding your heart.
The light may be golden or pink or any color that feels healing to you.
With each breath,
Imagine this light growing brighter,
Warmer and more soothing.
As you inhale,
Allowing this healing light to fill your heart,
And as you exhale,
Feel it spreading throughout your body,
Soothing any areas of discomfort or tension.
Inhale,
Bringing in healing light,
Filling your heart,
And the exhale,
Allowing that light to spread throughout your body,
Soothing any discomfort or tension.
And let each breath bring more comfort,
More healing,
And more love into your heart and your entire being.
If any emotions arise during this process,
Simply notice them,
Whether it's sadness,
Grief,
Anger,
Shame,
Or something else,
There's no need to resist,
Allow yourself to breathe into those feelings with kindness and compassion,
Each breath allowing you to acknowledge and gently release them.
On every exhale,
Feeling the emotional weight lift,
Allowing more space and leaving more space in your heart for love,
Peace,
And healing.
Now letting go of any control over your breath,
Return to your natural rhythm of breathing,
And simply rest in this space of openness and healing,
Your heart whole and nurtured.
Allow this feeling of peace and wholeness to float through you,
Knowing that healing is ongoing and gentle.
And begin now to gently bring your awareness back to the room and the space that you're in.
Move your fingers and your toes,
Maybe have a stretch,
And whenever you do feel ready open your eyes,
Having a look around your environment,
Reorienting yourself with your space,
And know that you can always return to this gentle heart healing breath whenever you need to nurture and care for your emotional self.
