In this 5.5-minute guided meditation, we will move inward and meet ourselves exactly where we are. We'll experience just being without a right or a wrong way to do that, letting go of all judgment, internal or external.

Hello and welcome.

My name is Julie and I'm glad you've joined us for this parent break.

I invite you to get comfortable.

And if your eyes are open,

I invite you to close them.

Let's begin by taking a few breaths together.

Let's inhale and release.

And again,

Inhale,

Release.

Let's take one more.

Inhale and let go.

Of course,

It's your choice how much you follow what I have to say.

You can flow with my directions or push against them.

You are welcome whatever you choose.

Today,

I invite you to be here exactly how you are.

For just a few moments,

I have no instruction for you other than to be here and breathe.

However you choose to breathe is just fine.

What's it like to be you when there is no judgment from you or anyone else?

You can't get it wrong because there's no right and no wrong.

We'll float here for a few moments and then I'll be back to guide you to the next place.

How does it feel when there's no direction?

Are you able to quiet those judging voices?

Can we invite them to sit quietly for just a moment and know that there's nothing we have to do?

There's no right way to be here.

If the mind wanders,

It wanders.

And if we notice it,

That's okay.

We can bring it back or just let it wander and be free.

So here we are as we begin to get ready to go back to the regular world.

We're going to do three breaths in a slightly different pattern.

We'll do an inhale and float.

And then we'll do an exhale and then we'll drift in the exhale.

And I'll guide you through it.

So here we go.

First one.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Float.

Exhale.

Drift.

Inhale.

Float.

Exhale.

I want you to bring your breathing back to normal as we get ready to come back into the room.

Here at Parent Break,

We're going to do some private journaling.

And if you're on your own,

You're welcome to do that journaling too.

Thanks for joining us for another Parent Break.
