We sometimes believe that it's selfish to care for ourselves.

We sometimes believe the idea that says we must care for others first.

Often we feel guilty when we just want time to ourselves.

What is this calling?

This desire to commune with ourselves?

It's the subtlety of our own remembrance.

A gentle nudging.

Remembering who we are.

Truly seeing yourself.

Then and only then can we see ourselves in others.

Can we care for others in our families and in our communities?

Find a comfortable seated position.

The spine is straight but not forced.

Connecting to the ground,

The earth beneath your seat.

Connecting to the natural breath that moves in and out of your body.

Observing the natural effortless progression of the breath.

Not changing the breath here or trying to fix it in any way.

But just noticing how the organic breath feels inside and out.

Being present with your breath.

Observing its natural cadence.

Noticing the qualities of your breath.

Maybe the inhales are slightly shorter than the exhales.

Perhaps the breath is smooth.

Maybe it's choppy.

No judgment here.

Just truly becoming aware of the breath.

Being with it.

Coming back to the breath when the mind ventures away.

ForestASS is very important to handle and help the brain.

The task is to seem compliments and broaden.

Notice thoughts and then come back to the breath.

And again,

If necessary.

Using the breath to anchor.

Using the breath as the foundation.

And again,

If necessary.

Understanding others.

Understanding what's happening in our lives,

Our communities,

Our world requires an opening,

A spaciousness in the heart.

Requires seeing you first.

Requires a knowing.

Perhaps a mantra of,

I see me.

As we observe ourselves in this place.

This knowing space can be achieved.

Opening the heart,

Especially when we don't want to.

Requires this knowing,

This remembrance,

This prescience.

Connecting to the knowing as the body is being breathed and expanded.

Connecting to the knowing as the heart is being opened and illuminated.

Connecting to the knowing as the spirit is being lifted and liberated.

Connecting to the knowing as the spirit is being lifted and liberated.

Connecting to the knowing as the spirit is being lifted and liberated.

Connecting to the knowing as the spirit is being lifted and liberated.

Connecting to the knowing as the spirit is being lifted and liberated.

And now,

Breathing into this knowing,

This presence,

This prescience.

Truly sensing yourself.

Truly seeing yourself.

Reconnecting with the ground beneath.

Feeling yourself in this moment.

In this one.

In this one.

Gently opening your eyes and returning to the world.

Namaste.

Profound. Too short, ending to quickly once we got to heart of message, but great guidance and I sat for awhile after, taking in the message. Thanks

Helpful, quietly spoken meditation, with good periods of silence and a focus on breath. Underlying theme of seeing oneself. Recommended. Thank you.
