We are going to learn and practice meditation for healing our body,
To make healthy our body,
To healing our mind,
To make peaceful our mind and let go bad reaction or trauma from our memory.
This meditation I call Usada meditation.
It means in Balinese language meditation for healthiness and peaceful mind.
So all the participants welcome to Bali Usada meditation.
Before we practice the meditation I would like to give you a short explanation.
What is Usada meditation?
Why we have important to learn to practice Usada meditation and what is the result and later I show you how to practice it.
So I will start with what I call Usada meditation.
Usada meditation is a skill that we have to develop to use we can use it to make our body healthier and our mind become peaceful.
For that first thing that we have to do to make appear what I call harmonious mind,
Our good mind.
You know we have bad mind,
We have a good mind.
Of course the bad mind like a lot of agitation,
A lot of worry,
Maybe too much greedy,
Laziness when they appear with that quality of our mind we call bad mind.
But when the quality of the mind appear with good concentration,
Right attention,
Loving kindness,
Wisdom,
Peaceful we call a good mind.
A good mind I can say I divide become two.
A normal,
A good mind like when you put your mind with good concentration whatever you do with mindfulness,
With gentleness I call a good mind,
A normal good mind.
This good enough to make your body healthy,
To make your mind peaceful but not for healing.
To make your good mind become a healing skill you need to add what we call wisdom.
So when the wisdom appear with a good mind I call harmonious mind.
Harmonious mind when they appear it will give in your body a good feeling.
In your mind like you are happy,
Maybe in your body you know the endorphin appear more so you feel it,
The body feeling pleasant.
The good mind,
The harmonious mind make you awake.
In your body your dopamine appear more.
All these good enzymes like what they call oxytocin because you are gentle appear more.
So your body automatically the metabolism,
The condition of your body more easier become healthy.
But when the wisdom appear the flexibility of your mind appear,
The immune system become stronger,
The metabolism become quicker,
Stronger because we're going to focus the mind to that sickness so the healing process will happen.
So the harmonious mind is important.
Content of four good qualities of our mind.
Number one we call concentration.
What I call concentration is the ability of our mind when we focus to one object.
When we focus to one object it can hold the object,
It can absorb to the object,
It can be penetrate to the object.
This is I call concentration.
When their inner object stay there not wander around,
Not get distracted.
This is I call mindfulness.
The quality of number two of our harmonious mind.
So be there at the present maybe sometime they call bear attention,
Right attention,
Mindfulness.
So be at the present.
Number three when you observe your object say if you use your breathing as an object when you observe your object when you feel your object D with your object you do it gentleness.
You don't hold it tight,
You don't grab it tight,
You just feel with gentleness,
You observe with gentleness your loving kindness mind appear.
So when you observe the object and you know the truth of the object,
The reality of the object they are impermanent,
They are changing all the time.
The flexibility of your mind appear.
This is what we call wisdom.
So when these four qualities of your harmonious mind appear number one what we call concentration,
Good concentration.
Number two good mindfulness.
Number three good love and number four wisdom.
They appear together.
This is I call harmonious mind will give a good energy and good condition in your body so your body become healthier,
Healing the sickness in your body.
Will let go bad reaction or phobia from your memory through the vibration that you feel in your body and of course will give more happy life for everyday life because your harmonious mind will be very strong to face this life.
This is what I call health meditation,
Usada meditation.
Train your harmonious mind and when you have the harmonious mind you can use according what you want to do,
What you need.
Now the question why we need to make this harmonious mind appear to learn this meditation because as a human we are content of body,
Mind and consciousness or maybe you call soul,
Maybe you call in your everyday life spirit.
It doesn't matter but this body,
Mind and soul they are in process constantly.
Your body in process constantly because of the food,
Your age,
Maybe experience of your life,
Contact with virus,
Food,
Bacteria.
They are in process constantly and a lot of time when they are in process in a not a good way become sick,
Become weaker.
Your mind also in process constantly through your six doors of your senses.
Five senses from your body,
One sense from your mind.
Good thing happen,
Bad thing happen,
Pleasant,
Unpleasant.
You hear good thing,
You hear bad thing.
The memory in process constantly make you a lot of time not happy,
Produce a lot of trauma and they stay there inside your mind,
Inside your memory.
When you have the harmonious mind you can use this harmonious mind to balance it,
To let go a lot of tension in your body so the healing process,
Sickness in your body can happen.
With the harmonious mind you can let go a lot of trauma,
It can produce sickness in your body,
Can also make unhappy in your life.
With this harmonious mind because you train it all the time your self in every life become more happy.
As you understand that your body,
Your mind and your soul in process constantly.
Your body spot by the energy from your parent,
What we call genetic,
From the food that we eat,
The temperature around us.
The vibration of our memory all the time appear.
Vibration of our mind when we make action,
Speaking,
Sinking,
Moving.
All this energy in process constantly.
If you can balance it,
Easier to be healthy.
In your mind you have 52 different qualities of our door,
Of our character,
Of our mind.
I can tell you 13 ones they are neutral like when our mind appears through contact,
Intention,
Attention,
Feeling.
All these about 13 they are neutral but we have 14 bad ones like ignorance,
Agitation,
Greedy ego,
Anger,
Worry,
Doubt.
You know these 14 that we have appear in our every life,
It can make sickness in our body,
Also can make sickness in our memory,
Can be phobia,
Can be trauma.
So with this harmonious mind because you train automatically the experience in your memory,
The bad one,
We replace with mindfulness and wisdom with love so the mind become more peaceful.
Because we train most of the time the good quality of our mind,
Automatically the 25 good qualities of the mind will appear.
The bad one,
The 14 one become less.
So in your every life you become more happy.
How to do it?
Later we going to practice the meditation in a general way.
We going to use our breathing as an object to make our harmonious mind appear.
So we will start sitting in a relaxed way.
If you can sit on the floor it's good but if you have to sit on the chair it's okay but not lay in the back.
Just make sure your back straight or if you are still sick you can lay down in your bed.
So make sure your back straight,
Your tongue touching the roof of your mouth so all the breathing in and out through your nose.
Close your eyes,
Check your face if you feel relaxed like smile good enough.
Your left palm under the right palm,
The finger under right palm,
The finger touching each other.
That's the sitting position in a general way.
And after that we going to start the practice and I will lead you to do it step by step.
By practice this you will get three things.
Number one,
Your body will become healthier.
Number two,
The bad reaction in your memory become less so your mind become more peaceful and your harmonious mind become stronger.
This good for every life to face life more easier,
More happy.
