Eft to regulate the nervous system and become your own safe container for healing. EFT can support us when we are triggered by life events where our nervous systems respond either from flight, fight or freeze. There is growing research in the effects of stress on the body. EFT can allow space to be curious about the feelings and emotions we may hold within. What ever we meet, is our ability to heal.

Hello,

This is an EFT,

Emotional Freedom Technique practice,

To help to regulate the nervous system and become your own safe container for healing.

Let's take a few breaths.

Don't change the breath at all,

Just begin to notice as you inhale there's this feeling of expansion in the chest and as you exhale there is a softening in to your own being.

As you breathe just look around the room,

Know that you are safe and bring your awareness to sit with feet flat on the floor,

Feeling the earth come up to meet your feet and know that this is something you can lean into,

You can feel the earth underneath your feet.

Breathing in and creating space,

Breathing out and feeling softness.

Draw your fingertips to the top of your crown and slowly begin to tap.

Repeat after me.

It is safe for me to connect to my body and mind.

It is safe for me to connect to my body and mind.

It is safe for me to connect to my body and mind.

And just pause here,

Bring your hand back down onto your lap,

Close your eyes and feel that it is safe for you to connect to your body and your mind.

It's safe for you to be whole in this moment and take a breath.

And draw your fingertips up to the space between your eyebrows,

Your forehead and begin to tap.

And repeat after me.

My thoughts and perceptions are protecting me from feeling overwhelmed.

My thoughts and perceptions are protecting me from feeling overwhelmed.

And again,

Bring your hand back down,

Take a breath,

Pausing for a moment and just noticing how our thoughts and perceptions can bring us into overwhelm.

And in this moment,

You're just validating that that can happen.

But right now you're creating safety.

Bring your fingertips up to your inner eyebrow and begin to tap.

I give myself permission to authentically feel my feelings.

I give myself permission to authentically feel my feelings.

Bring your fingertips to the outer part of your eyebrow and begin to tap.

It's safe for me to observe my feelings with curiosity.

It is safe for me to observe my feelings with curiosity.

And pause,

Bring your hand back down,

Just taking a breath,

Giving yourself permission to feel the sensations in your body,

Just noticing those sensations and knowing that you can observe them without fear.

You can observe these feelings by being curious.

Ah,

What are those sensations I'm feeling?

I'm noticing.

Bring your fingertips back up to the cheekbone and begin to tap.

I allow space for my feelings to be here without making them wrong.

I allow space for my feelings to be here without making them wrong.

Bring your fingertips down just underneath the nose above the top lip and begin to tap,

Allowing even more space in my body,

Noticing strength and courage,

Allowing even more space in my body,

Noticing strength and courage.

Moving your fingertips down to the bottom lip,

Beginning to tap.

There is a part of me that needs healing.

With compassion,

I hold that part.

There is a part of me that needs healing.

With compassion,

I hold that part.

Bringing your hand back down onto your lap,

Taking a few breaths and knowing that it's not your whole self that's feeling like this,

It's just a part of you that's requiring healing and space to be held,

To be validated,

Knowing that you have compassion and courage and strength within you to allow space for that part to be held,

Allowing that part of you to just feel that you're not going to make them wrong for feeling this way.

It's okay for you to feel.

Allowing your heart to open a little bit more to that vulnerable part of yourself.

Begin to tap underneath the collarbone in line with the earlobe and as you tap here,

Repeat after me.

My heart is opening to my vulnerability.

With kindness and compassion.

My heart is opening to my vulnerability with kindness and compassion.

Notice how it feels to offer yourself kindness and compassion.

Keep tapping here just for a few more moments.

So often we scold ourselves.

Open your heart a little bit more,

Allowing compassion in,

Understanding and kindness.

And then move down to tap on your thumbnail.

I breathe in space for healing.

I breathe out and surrender to this healing moment.

I am creating space for healing to be welcomed.

Tapping on the first fingernail bed.

I pause to feel the subtle vibration of healing.

This begins to regulate my nervous system.

Just pause for a moment.

Feel the body sensations.

Where there is any tension,

Just allow yourself to soften.

Softening shoulders away from the ears,

Softening the jaw.

And you may be able to notice and if you don't that's perfectly okay.

A very subtle vibration.

That healing energy beginning to flow through your being and regulate your nervous system.

Coming back into balance.

And now begin to tap on the middle finger.

I am showing up for myself.

I am right here.

Begin to tap on the ring fingernail bed.

I am creating time to heal and restore.

Tapping on the little fingernail bed.

My heart is opening to the tremendous love within me.

My heart is opening to the tremendous love within me.

Tapping on the side of the hand.

I allow that love to flow through my being.

Nothing is permanent.

Pause and take a breath.

Let's come back to the crown.

Begin to tap.

My heart is opening with loving awareness.

Tapping on the space between your eyebrows.

Within my heart is a vastness that can hold all this love.

Tapping on the inner eyebrow.

The vastness of my tender heart holds abundant love.

Tapping on the outer eyebrow.

I am connecting to true love.

My heart is open.

Tapping under the eye on the cheekbone.

My heart is filled with compassion.

Tapping under the nose on the top lip.

My heart is filled with peace.

Tapping on the chin.

My heart is filled with tremendous love.

Tapping just underneath the collarbone.

I welcome the healing of my heart and spread it through every cell of my body.

Tapping on the thumbnail.

My cells are sending out positive healing energy.

My body is filling with that positive healing energy.

Tapping on the first fingernail bed.

I decompress.

Stress is leaving my body.

I decompress.

Stress is leaving my body.

Tapping on the middle finger on the nail bed.

I am safe.

Tapping on the ring finger nail bed.

I am encouraging wellbeing.

Tapping on the little finger nail bed.

I am returning to wholeness and wellbeing.

Tapping on the side of the hand,

Just underneath the little finger knuckle.

My energy is restoring.

I am healthy,

Whole and complete.

Taking a big breath in and out.

Place the palms of your hands on your heart.

And just notice how you feel.

Notice if there's still the same tension that was there in the body,

If there's a little bit more space for clarity.

And if there's not,

That's totally okay.

You can repeat this practice a few times.

Just allowing yourself to be right here in the present moment where you have created space for healing,

Compassion,

Peace and calm.

And that has taken courage and strength and presence.

And you are that safe presence that you're offering yourself right now.

And how does it feel to be that courageous loving self that is holding the parts of your self that need healing and need to be listened to and heard?

And well done for allowing this practice where you can just create a little bit more safety and awareness in the body.

Take a big breath in and out.

And then just stand up,

Move your body,

Maybe circling your hands over your wrists.

And sitting back down and noticing how you feel.
