
Too Existential: A Body Scan For Relaxation & Mental Relief

It is not easy being human. There is chaos and disorder. There is confusion, loss, and suffering. Sometimes it is too much information for the nervous system to process and our bodies can shut down or become overly sensitive. This body scans a space to breathe deeply and settle sweetly.

So welcome to the space and I invite you wherever you are tuning in from to make this space as squishy and as comfortable as possible.
I encourage you to lay down and if you so desire you can place pillows around the body to create a little cozy cave and take some space between the legs and the arms away from the body so that you have space at the armpits where air can still move around the body and this helps us stay alert but relaxed.
Find a way to relax the spine and if it feels more comfortable for you to sit you are more than welcome to sit upright.
My invitation to lay down is just to allow this to be extra extra relaxing for the body,
For the heart,
For the mind.
So as you find yourself extended and as you lay your body out take whatever wiggle or adjustment that you need to get extra cozy and allow this time to be a tender and precious offering a gift to the entire system that you are,
The ecosystem that you are.
So tune in deeply to the breath landing softly and once you are adjusted and cozy find stillness and tune in to the earth beneath you so the bed or the floor wherever you may be place and tune into the essence of the floor or the bed or the seat below you this solid structure and breathe that solidity that security that stability into the back of the body so feel the back of the body as the inhale and the exhale washes over the body to bring that essence of stability of security into the back of the body and let the breaths move in and out of the nostrils releasing any tension from the belly and the chest as you can on the exhalations and now breathing that stability that security from the earth the bed the chair up the back of the shoulders and the back of the head breathing that energy into the body feeling the support beneath you and on each inhalation each exhalation dropping deeper and deeper into rest now breathing the energy of the earth beneath you that solidity that security that stability into the back of the legs and feet washing that energy down the backside of the body feeling the support beneath you the entire back line of the body dropping deeper and deeper into rest and as the back of the body feels supported with the essence of that stability and sturdiness come to focus on the breath as you inhale through the nostrils focus on the breath moving from the belly up through the diaphragm across the chest let the belly bulb out and just tune into the natural wave of breath moving through the front line of the body on the inhalation allow a wave of cooling energy to rise up towards the head inhalation coming all the way up towards the head and releasing any stuck energy here and then just begin to tune in to the back of the shoulders sense into the texture the weight temperature and imagine anything that you've been holding that has brought heaviness to the shoulders to this area of the body anything that is weighing weighing on your shoulders imagine on your exhalation washing that energy those experiences down the back of the body and out and soften the shoulders may need to do this a few times if there's a lot of tension in the shoulders on each exhalation washing away anything that you've been holding and softening deeper and deeper then tune into the mid-back tune into any tension here any contraction you might even visualize a soft palm here warmth permeating into the mid-back and as you feel that warmth ring into mind any tension any challenges any burdens that you might be carrying here in the physical body the energetic body the pranic body get nice inhalation and on the exhalation imagine all of that energy washing down the body and out moving down to the lower back the lower lumbar again you can visualize this warm palm at the lower back the warmth permeating into the lower back you can inhale visualize anything that you've been holding any burdens any tension or pain here and on the exhale washing it away from the body down and out moving down to the back of the thighs tuning into a sense of warmth or connection here softening even deeper and taking that inhale acknowledging anything that's holding here and on the exhalation washing it down and out of the body and coming back up body to the front of the shoulders you can visualize warm hands slight pressure pushing the shoulders down grounding with the earth supportive touch softening in the front line let the belly rise and fall naturally deeper breaths in and out of the nostrils soften deeper and deeper tune into this expansive space across the chest this place that encases the heart what are you holding here any anxiousness or tingling or anger or frustration or pain imagining it all on the inhale rising up and on the exhale washing down the body and out you need to do it a few times inhale feel tune in sense all that you've been holding here and exhale let it go wash it out and down the body moving to the mid chest to the diaphragm rib cage and we can hold so much tension here so tune into anything that you might be holding nice big inhalation and exhale wash it down the body and out coming softer and softer in the body move down to the lower belly just below the navel and again tuning into anything that you may be holding here nice deep inhalation and exhale wash it away down to the hips you might even visualize two warm hands slight pressure on the hips pressing you lightly tenderly compassionately into connection with the earth you can inhale anything that you are holding here breathe it in and exhale down the body let it go towards the upper thighs the knees tuning into any warmth here the inhale brings any tension up and the exhale washes it down the legs and out and down to the shins and visualize two warm palms slight pressure holding the shins connection to the earth below you take a nice deep inhale visualizing anything that you're holding on to here and the exhale washes this out of the body down the feet in a way and then as we come to the feet our connection to the earth our source of stability and structure just tune into how the feet are feeling in this moment can tune into the touch of two warm palms on the top of the feet maybe thumbs pressing into the bottom of the feet with love and care like a warm mother's embrace nice big inhale anything that you are holding and exhale release out of the body feel your connection to the earth and stay with those warm hands or just a warm sensation lightly the hands lift and your body is connected to the earth connected to the earth beneath you chest rising and falling more easily soften soften soften and where can you soften even more if the lips are pursed let them part slightly let even the eyes soften behind closed eyelids like they're floating on cool pools of water soften the wrists soften the ankles and feel this deep connection to stability beneath you but expansion above and around you feel the lightness in your body feel the expansive connection to all space around you through the breath and where the mind begins to ponder come back to the inhalation and exhalation through the nostrils reminding yourself breathing in i am aware that i am breathing in breathing out i am aware that i am breathing out breathing in i am aware that i am breathing in breathing out i am aware that i am breathing out soften even more deeply if any tension or contraction arises let it climb on the inhale release on the exhale and in this moment of softness when the body and mind are so receptive to the heart's desire what does your body need to hear from you so in the mind words may come i am safe to feel i am safe to let go i am safe to express to love i am worthy i am capable i am good whatever it is that your body needs to hear grant your mind the permission to speak those internal words to the hearts from the heart to the body to the breath to the mind so that the system in this moment of deep rest and relaxation begins to embed these lovely words from the heart into the implicit memory of the fascia into those whispers in the body i am lovable i am worthy i am good i release i let go i allow in your system will know what it is that you need to hear and it may even feel nice for you to speak these words in a soft whisper from the heart not from the mind the soft soft whisper i am lovable i am safe i am good i receive whatever it is that you may need to hear grant the permission here to the heart to the mind to the pranic body to come into right relationship with each other and soften deeper and deeper and deeper let the earth your bed your chair let it hold you here as you hold yourself i am good i am loved i am love i am safe to express i am safe to let go i am safe to receive and breathing in i am aware that i am breathing in breathing out i am aware that i am breathing out and then just allow yourself to sink into the nothingness let go of words let go of actions soften the eyes behind closed eyelids tune into that sense of nothingness the buzz of life the sound of life in the ears the feeling of expansion around the body nowhere to go nothing to do simply be feel sense tune in i am home here let these words trigger in the mind i am home here i am home here i am at home here my body my heart my mind i am at home here soften deeply deeply deeply let a sense of deep relaxation wash over the body settle and as i count to five from zero imagine a staircase you're standing at the top of the staircase and as you walk down these few stairs each step will drop you deeper and deeper into relaxation and release with each step release a little bit more tension a little bit more story expectation and drop deeper into yourself so walking down to the first step one let go drop deeper two a little bit more deeper let go release what does not serve three even more deeply four soften soften soften five deep relaxation and let the staircase fade away into nothingness surrounded by darkness or lightness whatever whatever comes into the body the mind but let it be tender and soft and settling to be a human is a difficult venture you are appreciated in your efforts to know yourself more deeply to meet yourself more sweetly may you in these moments of rest and deep relaxation remember your ability to connect to your heart to your truth to softness the stillness to truth in the moments when the world becomes loud or chaotic or actions feel pointed and hurtful may you come back to this place of deep rest and relaxation and remind yourself you are loved you are good you are safe to be here in your sweet abode in your deepest sense of self this is your true home whenever you get lost lost come back to this space create a sanctuary here a bridge from your heart to your mind to slow down to tune in to let go of shame guilt anxiousness fear and to soften into dissolution truth that everlasting pool of love sense and tune in to all space around you in this moment emanating from a place of radiant love acceptance you are held here you are witnessed here in deep loving presence allow it to wash over you and clean and purify anything that you may still be holding and as it is is a time dear sweet one to return to the world but we do so softly with care i invite you again to visualize that staircase this time you are at the bottom and you will walk upwards as i count from five down to one you will slowly emerge with more presence attention and wakefulness as you approach the last step but with ease with freedom in the body the heart and the mind ease lightness so holding on to the banister at the bottom of the staircase starting from the bottom five four three easy easy two one and zero we are at the top of the staircase you can open the eyes re-enter the space this beautiful and wild world and may you take this sense of peace and ease with you into the external world and keep your heart open your mind soft lead from your heart and project that inner peace that silent sanctuary that abode internally bring that out into the world as we need your tenderness here

Another meditation right when I needed it and boy was it powerful. I'm definitely booking a one on one at some point. After another of her meditations ended I focused on her energy, and I felt her warm loving presence. It was nice. Fast forward a day and right when I was feeling alone she responded to my review. If that's not a synchronicity, I don't know what is. 10/10
