Hello,
Welcome.
My name is Ali and I am here to guide you through a meditation that connects our body,
Mind,
And spirit to the magical essence of the fall season.
This time of transition,
Surrender,
And deep rest.
There is this gentle nudge from Mother Earth to slow down,
Reflect,
And gather the things we'd like to hold on to,
Give gratitude towards,
As well as gather the things that we'd like to release,
To let go of,
So that we may create space for something new.
Take the next minute or so to settle into a space that is cozy,
Calm,
And comfortable.
If you have some extra time,
Perhaps lighting a candle or burning some sage or palo santo,
Create an atmosphere that is sacred for you to immerse yourself in,
Knowing you deserve that.
For this meditation,
You can be seated or you may choose to lie down.
Just follow the calling of your vessel,
Your physical being.
And once you've arrived in your desired space and position,
Begin to notice your body.
Tracing the outline of your body with your mind,
Checking in and noticing sensations and allowing these sensations to exist without judgment.
Feeling the earth beneath you,
Feeling the gravity of your being,
And knowing you are safe and supported here.
Gently shifting your awareness to the natural rhythm of your breath,
The gentle rise and fall of the breath in the body.
And with each exhale,
Allowing yourself to become even heavier,
Even more rooted here.
There is nowhere to go,
There is nowhere to go,
Nowhere to be.
Inviting in a deeper inhalation in through the nose,
Holding the breath at the top,
And then exhaling and letting it go out through the mouth.
Doing this twice more,
Inhaling in through the nose,
Pausing at the top,
And releasing and letting go.
Once again,
Inhaling,
Breathing in,
Filling the lungs and the belly,
And then exhaling.
Pausing at the top,
And letting it all go.
Relaxing the face,
The eyes relaxing back,
Allowing the tongue to fall away from the roof of the mouth.
And the jaw to become heavy.
Inviting a wave of relaxation to wash over the face,
The neck,
The shoulders,
Down through the arms and hands.
Relaxation spreading over the chest and the belly,
The pelvis,
The hips and the legs,
All the way down to the feet and the toes.
Embodying deep release here.
With each exhale becoming heavier and heavier,
Sinking back into the earth.
And I invite you to welcome into your mind's eye the image of a beautiful,
Colorful,
Deciduous forest.
The canopy is a rainbow of reds,
Yellows,
Oranges,
And greens.
The forest floor is vibrant with mosses and mushrooms.
And you begin to imagine yourself as a tree in this forest.
🎶 This tree may be old or young,
Tall or short,
An oak or a maple,
A witch hazel or a hickory.
Whatever appears,
Just trust that.
And as you take on this form,
You feel your roots grounding you into the soil beneath you.
You feel your branches taking up space,
Spreading up and out.
🎶 And there's a gentle breeze that rustles through your leaves and warm golden sunshine gracing you.
🎶 You begin to reflect on the things in your life that are beautiful and whole.
🎶 Sending gratitude to those things.
🎶 Acknowledging that they are part of you.
🎶 Weaved into the rings of your trunk,
🎶 intertwined with your roots.
🎶 Sending gratitude to those things.
🎶 Family,
Friends,
🎶 pets and plants,
🎶 Mother Earth.
🎶 There are also things in your life that come and go,
🎶 arrive and depart.
🎶 These are symbolized by the leaves of your being.
🎶 They bring in new lessons,
🎶 new relationships,
🎶 new experiences both positive and negative.
🎶 And as time passes,
🎶 some of these things fade away 🎶 and transform into a new version of existence.
🎶 These leaves represent the passing of time 🎶 the impermanence of life 🎶 and at a certain point these leaves will drop away 🎶 naturally detaching.
🎶 There may be a desire to hold on to them 🎶 to remain attached 🎶 but the universe knows that it is time to let them go.
🎶 It is time to create space 🎶 and clarity for something new,
🎶 for something else.
🎶 As you continue to picture this tree 🎶 that is you,
🎶 explore and discover what it is that you are ready to surrender in your life.
🎶 What are you being called to release,
🎶 to let go of?
🎶 Remembering that the shedding,
🎶 this abscission,
🎶 is for your highest good.
🎶 And as you think of these things,
🎶 emotions may arise.
🎶 Notice them,
🎶 validate them,
🎶 and then allow them to pass.
🎶 And watch as the leaves of your tree 🎶 begin to dance their way 🎶 to the forest floor beneath you.
🎶 Continuing to breathe,
🎶 continuing to root down into the ground,
🎶 allowing the leaves to fall,
🎶 to flutter,
🎶 and staying here for 🎶 a little bit longer.
🎶 Breathing,
🎶 being,
🎶 letting go,
🎶 and we'll gently 🎶 invite a deeper inhalation in through the nose,
🎶 pausing,
Holding the breath at the top,
🎶 and then letting the breath go,
🎶 and we'll take another deep inhalation in through the nose,
🎶 pausing at the top,
🎶 and letting it go,
🎶 and one more deep breath together,
Breathing in through the nose,
🎶 holding it at the top,
🎶 and letting it go,
🎶 and remaining here for as long as you like,
🎶 taking your time,
🎶 and thank you so much for joining me for this guided meditation today.
I hope you have a beautiful fall and please join me again.
Thank you.
