Resentment, grudges, and disappointment can keep the heart heavy and closed. This meditation is an offering. A space to soften, to breathe, and to begin again. Through the rhythm of your breath, you’ll explore what it means to release what no longer serves you- whether that be shame, guilt, or a grudge- and encourage you to open to compassion, both for yourself and others. Forgiveness is not a single act, but a gentle unfolding. A practice of freeing your heart. Let this meditation guide you toward harmony, lightness, and peace within. Take your time. Breathe deeply. And return to this practice whenever you might be struggling to accept, let go, or forgive.

Welcome.

Take a moment to arrive.

To let your body settle and your breath begin to slow.

This practice is an invitation into softness.

Into the quiet space where forgiveness can begin to take root.

Forgiveness is not about erasing the past or pretending the hurt never happened.

It's about loosening our grip on what keeps us bound.

Resentment,

Bitterness,

Disappointment,

The weight of old stories.

These emotions can trap us in disharmony,

Holding us apart from our own peace.

Today we breathe into that space.

Allowing the breath to become a bridge between pain and release.

Between holding on and letting go.

As you breathe,

Remember forgiveness is not weakness.

It is a return,

A homecoming to your own heart.

You don't have to force it.

You only have to be willing to soften,

To allow,

To begin.

Let's begin by bringing your awareness to your breath.

Without trying to change it,

Just notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest.

The natural rhythm of your inhale and exhale.

Now take a deeper breath in through the nose.

And let it go with a long,

Open sigh out through the mouth.

And exhaling,

Release.

With every inhale,

Imagine breathing in forgiveness.

A soft,

Golden light filling your body.

Bringing warmth and peace to every corner of your being.

And with every exhale,

Allow the body to release what no longer serves you.

Things like resentment,

Shame,

Judgment,

Bitterness.

Letting it melt away with your breath.

Feel your body growing lighter as you breathe.

Your heart softer,

Your breath steadier.

Now,

Gently bring your attention to yourself.

To any place within that holds regret or self-blame.

Breathe into that space.

Offer it tenderness.

You might silently say to yourself,

I forgive myself for what I didn't know then.

I allow myself to begin again.

With each breath,

Imagining this forgiveness expanding.

Like ripples moving through your entire being.

Cleansing,

Softening,

Healing.

And now,

When you feel ready,

Bring to mind someone you may still hold tension or resentment toward.

You don't need to relive the story.

Simply think of it as a memory.

See or sense their presence.

As though from a distance.

Notice what arises in the body.

Any resistance,

Emotion,

Or sensation.

Allow it to be there.

And then breathe into it.

As you inhale,

Breathe in compassion.

As you exhale,

Release your grip on the story,

On the emotions.

You might whisper inwardly,

I release you.

I forgive to set myself free.

May we both be at peace.

Feel the breath moving through the heart.

Clearing old heaviness.

Making space for light.

For understanding.

For freedom.

Let forgiveness flow through you.

Not as effort,

But as surrender.

You are not condoning or forgetting.

You are choosing peace over pain.

Take a few more deep breaths here.

Inhaling compassion.

Love.

Exhaling release.

And then slowly return your awareness to your body.

Feel the support beneath you.

Feel the air around you.

The heart still open.

The breath still soft.

And silently remind yourself,

Forgiveness is how I return to harmony.

Forgiveness is how I come home to myself.

And when you are ready,

Gently bring your attention back to this moment.

Carrying with you the lightness,

The softness and the peace that forgiveness brings that you cultivated during this practice.

Grace.

Acceptance.

Forgiveness is a path to healing.

A way to reclaim our peace,

Our love for self and for others.

May you practice this.

May you carry this with you.

May you be safe.

May you be healthy.

May you be peaceful and joyful.

May you be one with all that surrounds you and all that's within you.

May you forgive.

May you be free.

Thank you so much for practicing with me.

Take care.
