This is a meditation where we will gain tranquility,
Healing and appreciation for all of the wonderful things your lungs do for you on a daily basis.
The act of appreciation can tremendously benefit you and your lungs,
Providing healing,
Cleansing and promoting overall health,
Providing a great reset for you and this powerful organ.
Just coming down into this moment right now,
Settling yourself down into the structure that you are on,
Getting comfortable,
Giving yourself permission to ease down,
Permission to go easy on yourself today and to be kind to yourself,
Leaving responsibilities at the side,
Just for now,
Career,
Job,
Relationships,
Friendships,
They will be here for you after this meditation.
For now,
Connecting in with your lungs,
Bringing your attention to the breath right now,
Noticing the inhale and exhale,
Noticing the flow of the breath,
Noticing how it can be so relaxing,
Like the waves on a beach,
In and out,
In and out,
In and out,
Noticing the lungs,
Noticing the lungs rising and falling,
Without the lungs,
The relaxing breath wouldn't be here at all,
Appreciating the lungs,
Allowing the air that you are breathing in to wrap around the lungs,
Giving it a huge hug on the inside,
An embrace of gratitude for its wonderful service,
The air that you are breathing in right now is used by the lungs every second of the day,
Creating life affirming gases such as oxygen to be transported into your system,
While removing gases that can be harmful,
This is such a balancing act,
An act done simultaneously and the lungs do it without fail,
Think of all the times you have breathed it in,
In your life,
It's doing such a great job,
The ultimate purifier,
The lungs are there for you constantly,
Through sickness,
Sadness,
They are there to keep you alive,
To keep you safe,
Allowing the lungs to rest by the air you breathe in right now,
They deserve such love and affection,
They are resting and being cleansed,
We breathe in around 11,
000 litres of air each day,
The lungs are constantly filtering and expelling what is not needed,
They are constantly moving in with the new and out with the old,
The masters of letting go,
Feeling the lungs now,
Whatever sensations they have to offer to you,
Allow whatever to come up,
Pleasant,
Unpleasant,
Neutral,
It's ok,
Unshackle your lungs,
Allow it to have freedom in this moment,
Allow them to be cleansed,
Purified and cleaned through the air you are breathing,
If the lungs could speak,
What would they say to you right now,
Rest with this amazing structure and to notice the millions of alveoli inside of your lungs,
Transport oxygen into your blood,
Enriching you with life force,
Enriching you with energy,
Enriching you with healing power.
Now let's take three deep breaths into our lungs,
On the inhale we are going to breathe in appreciation for the lungs,
On the exhale we are going to breathe out any tension they have faced,
Inhale through your nose,
Massive appreciation in,
Exhale through the mouth,
Tension out,
Inhale through your nose,
Warm loving energy in,
Exhale through the mouth,
Tension out,
Inhale through your nose,
Love and gratitude in,
Exhale through the mouth,
All tension out,
Rest,
Appreciate and love this organ.
Now as this meditation comes to an end,
Saying to your lungs,
I love and appreciate you,
I love and appreciate you,
Now bringing your attention back to your body,
Waking yourself back up,
Moving the body around,
Stretching if you wish,
Coming back to the world,
Remembering to always look after your lungs the best way you can,
They will always look after and love you.
When you are ready,
Opening your eyes,
