Hello everyone,

Welcome to this healing appreciation meditation for your back,

A meditation where we will release tension,

Increase healing and appreciate all of the wonderful things your back does for you every day.

The act of appreciation can be so powerful for healing the back,

Seeing things from a different perspective and treating your back and yourself with more kindness.

You may be struggling with back pain or your back may be in perfect harmony and you would just like to appreciate it more.

For now,

Just coming down into this very moment,

Gently letting go of any responsibilities you may have had before this meditation or things that you are going to do after.

Just leaving them at the side for now,

Gently just letting go,

It feels good to just go easy and release.

Today we are just going to be gentle on ourselves,

Kind on ourselves,

Just noticing your back for now,

Noticing the whole area of it,

What it's pressed up against,

If anything,

It's shape,

It's posture.

Allow your back to just sink into it's surrounding environment,

Releasing down,

Sinking,

Letting go.

Notice any subtle sensations you may feel in this area,

It could be anywhere in the back,

Low,

Mid or upper back,

There's nothing that you can feel or not feel that is wrong or right,

It's just there.

Allow this area to express it's sensations,

Pressure,

Heaviness,

Lightness,

Warmness,

Coldness,

Giving it maximum freedom.

Your back does wonderful work for you,

The backbone of your body,

Offering you major support every day,

Stability and motion.

Appreciate your back,

Millions of nerve cells run through your back and up your spinal column,

They are all just letting go now,

They work to protect you every day,

To keep you safe.

The muscles and the bones in your back have wonderful strength and integrity.

Even if you are feeling pain in this area,

It still works hard to keep you upright,

To keep you intact,

Appreciate the muscles and the bones of your back.

The whole area works together for your safety,

Vitality and survival.

Many blood vessels are within your back,

Supporting it with nutrient-dense blood,

Allowing it to thrive and heal.

Appreciate the blood supply of the back,

Appreciate the whole back and everything it does,

Low,

Mid and upper.

The spinal column,

Appreciate it.

Saying to your whole back,

I appreciate you,

I appreciate you,

I appreciate you.

Resting with your back for the next while,

Allowing it to flow,

Be free and do what it does,

Rejuvenate as the soothing appreciation comforts your back.

Now as this meditation comes to an end,

Saying to your back one last time,

I appreciate you.

Now just moving your whole body around,

Allowing yourself to wake back up.

Stretching any last tension points.

When you're ready,

Just opening your eyes,

Coming back.
