Hello and welcome to this meditation all about grounded anger.
Now as we all know anger can come out of nowhere in a flash or equally as we all know it can fester and remain trapped.
Now in this time globally and equally emotionally within us all,
We're all being asked to find our voice,
Embody our truth and communicate that with others.
Now from personal experience when it comes to relationships,
Emotions and communicating and learning to understand myself and others,
I've realized there can be a push,
A pressure,
An unrealistic expectation of ourselves to deliver and understand our emotions as nice neat sanitized packages.
Now if you're anything like me or anything like any human I've ever known it doesn't always work like that.
Sometimes things are messy,
Arguments come out of nowhere,
We express things in a way that is instinctual and from my experience if we embrace that element of ourselves,
That ever pushing desire to equalize,
To evolve and remain without judging in the moment when those things happen organically,
Positive change can roll out in a way that is easier for us to integrate,
Easier for us to be honest with and easier for us to appreciate ourselves and our own internal processes.
This builds trust within ourselves as we feel emotions and energy build up within us,
We are able to let it go,
To let it be untethered,
To be wild to a certain extent.
So with regards to being grounded in our anger,
It's the same as being grounded within our bodies,
So today that's where we'll start.
Closing your eyes and breathing in.
Feel that easy path to follow as you just allow yourself to settle down.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
And almost like a river pouring in down through the top of your head,
Just feel that current flow down from the top of your head through your neck.
Through your chest,
Through your core.
Down through the bottom of your back and your hips.
Down through your legs and your knees.
Down through your shins and your calves.
Down through the bottom of your back and your hips.
Down through your legs and your knees.
Down through your shins and your calves.
Into the soles of your feet.
And just feel almost as if there's a magnet,
A drawing down into the earth below you.
And just feel that current and flow down through the top of your head,
Through your body.
Down and out into the ground.
Drawing that breath deep into your stomach.
And breathing all the way out.
Feeling that grounding,
Feeling that kind of thickness and magnetism as you draw your awareness back down into your body.
And just allow yourself,
Just for a minute or so,
Just to sit,
Just to breathe in the comfort of that.
Thank you.
You You You You Still breathing in breathing out Just feeling that comfortability and trust within yourself and within your body Breathing in Breathing in breathing out breathing in to your core Breathing into any anger that your body might be feeling Not going looking for it,
But just allowing it perhaps like a almost like a scared child to feel safe to come out from its hiding space taking a deep breath in Breathing out Good Feeling that warmth Feeling that warmth Feeling that warmth Feeling that warmth Feeling that warmth Feeling that warmth Feeling that warmth That fire like a flame rising through you as you breathe up Feel how it can combine with that groundedness to really almost electrify and fire you up Feel the power,
The energy and the dynamic nature to that energy of anger but also feel how it's able to unite and stimulate and energize your cells,
Your body and your breath Feel the nature and the quality of your environment and the space you're in change Notice your skin tingle perhaps Your forehead,
Your jaw and your neck relax Feel the middle of your chest begin to unite with that flame,
That fire,
That anger from below and it softens in its harshness perhaps but it also amplifies that power within and as it moves up from your chest feel it take root in your throat,
In your neck and from this place whether it be a scream,
A whisper,
A song whatever it might be just imagine and take the stillness,
The silence the next couple of minutes just to imagine yourself able and enjoying and accepting the natural expression as if you were to talk,
To shout,
To scream,
To sing your truth united with that fiery,
Powerful and transformative anger within,
Breathing in breathing out and breathe in and breathe out and breathe in and breathe out and breathe in and breathe out still breathing in and breathing out drawing that breath deep down in between your hips and the bottom of your spine feel that anger,
That restlessness that has risen through your body,
Through your chest,
Through your throat begin to unite and move up into your head,
Into your mind and just feel your whole body go up like a part of you that was in tantrum mode just being recognized for the healthy,
Natural,
Honest desire that it represented feel your skin relax,
Feel yourself feeling present and welcome in your skin,
In your body and in your environment breathing into you and gently letting go just noticing your body how it feels feeling that connection below and above,
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Feeling your chest and the lightness there and the momentum and energy that's there,
It's like you're connected to another set of batteries and we're just going to gently project,
Gently imagine and visualize using the feeling and groundedness in our body as an anchor into a situation where we might be witnessing somebody else's anger or aware of anger in ourself and just like you've witnessed your body and witnessed your natural processes today and trust yourself with this,
Just imagine yourself in that situation recalling this feeling,
This groundedness,
This strong stable platform to explore and express,
Breathing in,
Breathing out music music music music music music music music music music music music music music music taking a moment to appreciate yourself,
Life,
Anger,
Others as teachers experiences and mirrors for you to know yourself and to know yourself is to love yourself and as the music fades and you become gently aware of your environment again,
Feel that anger as a beautiful and wonderful and valid colour to the palette,
To the masterpiece that is you feel that in your body ripple out to every part and through your skin and into the space that you are in bringing yourself back gently,
No need to startle,
Just breathing in,
Breathing out wriggling your fingers and your toes,
Opening your eyes in your own good time well done and be gently aware of how this plays out in your day,
In your week,
In your month,
In your year and in your life witnessing,
Bringing awareness to you,
