This short breathing space is an invitation to pause and reconnect in the middle of your day. You’ll be gently guided to notice how you’re feeling, bring attention to your breath, and settle into the body without needing to change or fix anything. The pace is slow and spacious, allowing moments of silence for you to actually experience the practice rather than listen to constant instruction. It’s designed for times when you feel busy, overwhelmed, or simply need a few minutes to come back to yourself.

Hello and welcome to this 3 minute breathing space.

Begin by simply noticing that you have paused.

Nothing needs to change yet.

No posture to correct.

No breath to fix.

Just recognize that you are here.

Take a moment to sense the overall tone of this moment.

Not through thoughts or emotions but by feeling the general atmosphere of the mind and the body as it is right now.

Notice whether things feel busy,

Heavy,

Open,

Dull or quiet.

Let that be known without trying to improve it.

Now gently bring your attention to the breath.

Feel where the breath is most obvious in the body.

For some people it's the nostrils or the chest or the belly.

Without deepening it or controlling it,

Let the breath move in its own rhythm,

Arriving and leaving on its own.

As you stay with the breath,

Notice how it creates a natural boundary around this moment.

Each inhale beginning,

Each exhale completing.

There is nothing else you need to attend to right now.

If the mind wanders,

Acknowledge that gently without judgment and allow attention to return to the next breath.

Now include the body as a whole,

The contact points with the floor or chair,

The weight of the body being held.

And as you come to the end of this breathing practice,

Keep the breath in awareness while gently reconnecting with your surroundings.

The sounds around you,

The space you're in.

And when you're ready,

Allow this steadiness to carry with you into whatever comes next.
