This expansion meditation practice helps you embrace the discomfort of growth, preparing you for bigger and better things to come. It will help you tune in to your potential, clear the mental noise and doubting thoughts in your mind, and help you step into your future. Through this process of connecting with your Third Eye, Throat, and Heart Chakras, you can see your future clearly, speak with confidence, and trust in your heart's path. As you arrive,

Scan your body and notice any places that are holding tension or any places that could be even a little bit more comfortable.

Take a moment to make any last minor adjustments.

Take a moment to allow your body to get out any last wiggles or fidgets.

When you've found perfect comfort and complete relaxation,

Allow yourself to simply melt down into the earth.

Relax and exist.

Notice if you're still controlling its rhythm.

If you are,

Simply let go of that responsibility.

Begin to observe your body inhale and exhale.

Bellies slowly rise and fall.

Confidence that your body can handle this essential function and that there is no need for you to control anything in this moment.

Bring your awareness to the center of your forehead and feel the energy of that awareness,

Of that focus.

Start to gather strength,

Perhaps feeling a warmth or a tingling sensation.

As you begin to activate your third eye chakra through your conscious awareness,

Feel this energetic center in the body gathering energy,

Gathering strength.

Your third eye allows you to see beyond the surface of things,

To see beyond the superficial that's being shown to you.

It's the source of your intuition and your discernment.

Perhaps pause for a moment here and listen for anything it has to tell you.

Watch for anything it has to show you.

Now shift the energy of your awareness to the center of your throat.

Notice how it feels to gather your energy there.

Focus all of your attention on this single spot.

Perhaps feel whether this chakra is open for you or perhaps feels constricted.

Your throat chakra is the source of vibration.

It's how you communicate and it's the source of your words and language.

Take a moment to notice if this energy center feels free and open or if it feels tight and constricted.

If that's the case,

Focus your awareness on opening this chakra.

Perhaps become aware of any ways that you have been silencing yourself or overly mindful of your words.

Anahata Chakra,

Come into your heart space.

Begin to activate this energy center.

Bringing all your awareness to this spot.

Taking a moment to check in with how your heart feels.

Your heart chakra,

This energy center is the source of the love you give to others,

Compassion and empathy that you share with your community.

It's also the source of the love you carry for yourself.

How lovingly you take care of this physical vessel.

How lovingly you nurture your mind and your spirit.

I invite you to consider your heart as the bud of a rose.

Pink or green or whatever color comes to your mind naturally.

Picture your heart as this flower about to bloom.

Notice the potential that you have for loving kindness.

The potential you have to share your love with others.

Possibilities for receiving love from those around you as well.

We are in cancer season in the zodiacal calendar.

We are in the season of the crab.

We've just had a new moon as well.

This is a great time to consider the ways that you might open and expand.

The ways that you might bloom into existence,

Into possibilities.

The ways that you might break out of the boxes and containers you've been placed within.

Like a crab shedding a shell that's become too tight.

Start to consider the possibilities that await you.

If you're ready to take a step forward.

Shedding the past.

Shedding what no longer serves you.

Shedding the versions of yourself that have served their purpose but no longer need to be forward.

As you consider this expansion,

This breaking through,

Envision that rosebud at your heart center starting to unfurl its petals,

Starting to burst forth in bloom,

Starting to show its true beauty to the world,

Sharing its true colors,

Opening itself up to the sunlight of possibilities.

Notice what arises for you with this energy of potential,

This energy of possibility,

Of growth.

Notice any fears,

Uncertainties,

Doubts from your heart or other places in your body.

Those fears,

That doubt,

And then decide whether they are worth holding you back or whether you're ready to move on beyond them.

Growth is an uncomfortable experience.

You may remember growing pains you had as a child as you grew in stature.

Same type of pains occur as we expand beyond the walls that have placed around us.

We break out of the boxes that we've been put into.

Notice how you feel with the rose at your heart space in full bloom.

Notice how you feel in this expanded,

Expansive state.

Perhaps make a mental note of any horizons that you've seen beyond,

Any goals that you've had that seemed out of reach until this moment.

Let this expansive feeling make its mark on your heart.

Hold on to this feeling.

Compress and concentrate this expansive energy.

Shrinking it back down,

Not losing strength,

Just compacting it.

Keep compacting all of this love,

This expansion.

Keep compacting and concentrating it down until it shrinks to the size of a pearl.

With gratitude,

Tuck this pearl within your chest.

Know that this energetic expansion is there for you,

Just waiting for you to activate it again.

With gratitude for the energy of Anahata Chakra,

Bring your awareness back to your throat chakra,

Taking a moment to notice if it feels more open and expansive as well.

Taking a moment to acknowledge that your words and the language you use emanates from your heart and is expressed into the world through this energy center,

Through your throat chakra.

Begin to concentrate the energy of this chakra as well,

Shrinking it down,

Compacting,

Compressing until it becomes the size of a pearl as well.

Blue in color,

Tuck that pearl into the center of your throat.

Remember that you hold the possibilities,

You hold the potential to communicate with kindness and with love.

With gratitude for your throat chakra,

Bring your awareness back to your third eye.

One last time with your intuition,

Acknowledge with gratitude anything it's shown you,

Anything it's been able to guide you through.

Shrink the energy of your third eye chakra down,

Not diminishing its potential,

Merely concentrating its energy until it as well becomes the size of a pearl.

Indigo in color,

That your third eye is always there to feed your discernment,

To guide you through intuition.

Bring your awareness back to your breath,

Feeling your body breathe,

And starting to deepen your inhales and sigh out your exhales.

With the quality of the air in your room,

Becoming aware once again of the space that you occupy.

With one last deep breath in,

Start to bring some movement into your body,

Wiggling fingers,

Wiggling toes.

With an inhale,

Bring your hands together at heart center,

Sharing gratitude for taking time for self-care with this practice.
