This episode unravels the message Helping Others Change Their Perspective which suggests the degree to which we struggle and suffer is in direct proportion to our willingness to accept what comes our way. Those who fight against life’s lessons tend to have more unpleasant experiences than those who choose to surrender to the ups and downs, and the way to more effectively relate to persons having a propensity toward negativity is not to push them to change but to be a model of that surrender.

Hello spiritual seekers.

Welcome to another episode of the Unraveling Shaltazar podcast,

Featuring me,

Mark Lane,

Spiritual seeker,

Writer,

And Shaltazar enthusiast,

Along with the mouthpieces of Shaltazar,

Jeffrey Eisen,

My good friend and collaborator.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar,

Jeffrey is a Toronto-based spiritual life coach,

Teacher,

And channeler of a spiritual entity who goes by the name Shaltazar.

With the help and support of Shaltazar's cosmic wisdom,

It is Jeffrey's mission to assist in shifting the consciousness of our planet.

It is my pleasure to assist Jeffrey in making this marvelous wisdom available to the largest possible audience and to unravel it in an understandable and comprehensible way.

Hello Jeffrey,

How are you today?

Hello Mark,

I am doing well,

I am doing well,

And how are you?

I'm well,

I'm well,

I'm well.

I warmed up a little bit and the snow is starting to melt,

So it gives us hope of spring.

Absolutely,

Thank heavens because I could certainly use that hope.

It's kind of neat because we're getting near the end of February.

February tends to be that month that can have a bit of a lower and slower energy,

And you know,

March is the month that spring is going to show up in,

Hopefully,

Although officially,

Whether the weather cooperates or not,

We don't know.

And so I think energetically there's some movement and I am getting a sense that that energy is cranking up for us to bring forth a lot of new changes in our life.

So hopefully with spring,

Which is rebirth,

Maybe we can rebirth some of ourselves.

Yeah,

Oh yeah,

That would be a fitting synergy with springtime,

Right?

Yeah,

Absolutely,

Absolutely.

So the message that I pulled to talk about today is called helping others change their perspective and as we were discussing a bit earlier,

I've been feeling a little,

This past week,

A little anxious but sort of impatient,

Impatient with other people.

And this is one of the knocks on me that my wife has,

She says that I have a preponderance toward being impatient and intolerant of others at times.

And this message was kind of,

It really resonated with that subject because it talks a lot about how we relate to others.

You and I are on a spiritual path,

Right?

And we're interested in these spiritual topics and there are a lot of people perhaps that we encounter in our lives who aren't.

And this message talks a bit about how do we handle those people?

How do we successfully interact with them and what can we do to help them perhaps not feel as negative about life and their life situations as their outward behavior might indicate that they're feeling.

And being that you are a coach,

A life coach,

This probably is like a very apt and relevant topic for you too,

I would think.

Yeah,

It is.

And it was certainly a great reminder.

Thank you for choosing that topic and the name escapes me.

It's like,

Just like you've got impatience,

I've got memory problems and I can't remember.

The name of the message we're talking about is… Helping others change their perspective.

Yes,

Right.

Which is interesting,

It's really fascinating because often the titles,

More recently you're helping me come up with the titles and I greatly appreciate it.

But as I look back in the past,

I'm not sure how I came up with some of the titles because it's kind of fascinating if you judge,

It's the old judge a book by its cover.

If you judge that message by its title,

You might be thrown off a bit.

And so I encourage people to just use their intuition and if you're drawn to something no matter what the title is,

Don't let your mind talk you out of it.

Just listen to it,

Which is obviously what you did on this one.

Interesting though,

Before we get into talking about this message,

I think you bring up an interesting point when we get a little impatient and we get a little frustrated with other people,

Just a bit of a reminder that that trigger is an opportunity for us to look inward and see what is out of balance with us.

And this message talks about creating a lot of tolerance,

A lot of understanding towards other people that don't share your perspective.

But that only happens when we're in alignment,

When we're full of love and when we're feeling okay about ourselves.

And so just like you,

I've noticed I've been triggered a little bit more lately and I do believe that is the universe is giving us an opportunity to work through some of our imbalances,

Some of our triggers.

You know,

That last message that I channeled,

It'll be coming out shortly,

Called Finding the Light Within,

Is talking about going into that emotional abyss that we have and processing that darkness to shine light upon it.

So number one,

I think I recommend to people that are being triggered,

Don't take it personal,

Realize it as an opportunity to do some inner healing.

But this message,

I think,

Is really interesting in that it talks about how you can change the way you look at someone.

And I,

Having re-listened to it this morning,

It reminded me of when and why I channeled it because I was exposed to a particular individual that I could not understand their negativity.

I could not understand.

It made no sense,

This was a situation where the person had been married and there was an issue with a husband or wife or whatever that was cheating.

And here it was 20 years later and that person could not let that go.

It was like,

It was the most frustrating thing to hear that individual keep bringing it up over and over again and knowing what I know about energy,

That this person was causing a dis-ease within them.

And it's sort of like,

How can that be?

I mean,

You kind of want to shape that person and say,

Wake up,

Let that go.

And so I think that frustration I had addressed it to Shaltazar and this message,

Which I think is really profound,

Thank you for picking it so I can,

I had a chance to re-listen to it.

There are over a hundred messages right now,

So by you picking them,

It gives me a chance for a refresher.

And this one really,

To me,

Made a lot of sense in terms of helping you understand a person's negative perspective that you really can't fathom.

Yeah,

Yeah.

One of the lines in here that struck me is it said,

We realize asking you to love those who wallow in self-pity,

Who often appear toxically negative can be difficult at times.

And it goes on to say that often you're concerned with that toxicity or that negativity rubbing off on you.

And it is probably one of the more challenging things about being human is when you are working on yourself and you are trying to maintain that positive perspective and keep yourself in the light.

And I think you referenced in the message somewhere,

It talks about your love tank and keeping your love tank full,

That dealing with that opposite of that energy,

I guess,

Is very draining and it's exhausting and it's very difficult,

But it's necessary to find a coping mechanism or a way to deal with it that doesn't harm you,

But perhaps might in some way inspire the other person to not be that way.

Right.

And as you're talking,

What comes to mind,

I've coached many people whose spouse or partner is not on the journey with them.

And I love when people are starting to embrace that journey,

That awakening,

That enlightening of themselves.

But if it creates a divide between them and their spouse or partner,

They're kind of caught between a rock and a hard place,

Right?

You don't want to walk away on your partner,

But you don't want to walk away on this amazing journey and you and I can both attest it's really quite a journey.

And so I think this message has some application to that as well,

Because if your spouse or partner doesn't understand this spiritual journey that you're on,

It can create this divide.

And I think this message helps you realize that if you can understand the possible reason that they can't be on that journey with you,

Then maybe you can patch up the divide.

And I think what I loved about this message is it brought attention to the fact that what Chaltazar says is we are born with propensities in our DNA.

And the fascinating thing was it gave me the answer to that person who was so negative and who couldn't release their feelings towards this partner or spouse that cheated on them.

And that is the fact that not everybody is blessed with the propensity of being able to see things in a positive light.

It really gave me a tremendous understanding of my parents and my siblings,

Because it's like it's not their fault.

It's not their fault,

Right?

And it was like a light comes on.

And the way this message starts out,

I thought was really interesting.

I had forgotten all about it.

It talks about two people that get a diagnosis for a debilitating disease.

And it talks about the reality of the fact that they both have the same disease,

But the subject of reality is they handle it in different ways.

And it was like,

Yeah,

And how many times do we hear people that get a cancer diagnosis and stay in fear and others that really believe?

I've heard many,

Many instances of people that have really healed themselves.

An energy healer that I used to go to was told he's going to die.

And he lay on the couch and he began his spiritual journey.

And now he's many,

Many,

Many years later still alive and is a hands-on energy healer that I personally went to for a number of years.

And so how do you account for that difference between those that can't see the light and look at the possibility of self-healing and those that remain in fear?

Shaltazar says that those are the propensities that are in our DNA that are implanted for our learning and growth journey.

Yeah.

So if I understand,

You're saying that some of this,

I mean,

Obviously we all have choice.

The freedom of choice to choose how we want to respond to things and how we want to,

What we want our worldview to be.

But there's an additional hurdle that's kind of baked into the DNA that makes it more difficult for some people than others to get to that place.

Absolutely.

Okay.

For example,

I'll use the example of my wife.

She's developing a website and I think she would admit that she's technologically challenged.

And,

And from a technology perspective,

I love it.

It makes total sense to me,

But that's part of my creativity.

I mean,

Our company went computer in 1986,

You know,

And that's before computers were really in the forefront.

Well,

My wife's talent and gift is more as an artist,

More creative.

So her propensity is towards seeing things in a more artistic way,

Which is very different than seeing things in a technological way or sense.

Whereas my propensity is to be able to look at technology as something that is always looking at helping me do things in a simpler,

Faster way.

Well,

My propensity is different than her propensity.

So if I have an expectation that she can do the things in technology that I can,

I'm going to be extremely frustrated.

So just that one sense of awareness that implanted in our DNA is a propensity,

Is a propensity to be very negative,

To be very positive,

To be very trusting,

To be very untrusting.

And you sort of realize,

I do anyway,

That that is the setup for our learning and growth in this particular human soldier.

Yeah,

The idea that we all have something to overcome and learn,

Right?

And that,

And one of the things that they kind of hinted at here is the idea that your DNA can change too,

Right?

It's not like you're stuck with this propensity.

If you address the propensity,

Perhaps you can actually transmute it into something else and eliminate that predilection to respond to certain things in a certain way.

Did I read that correctly?

Brilliant.

A hundred percent.

A hundred percent.

And that was really powerful.

To be able to change your DNA is sort of like,

Wow.

And that is the essence of empowerment.

That is the ability that we all have.

When we connect to that place of power,

We can take a propensity of looking at life from the cup half empty,

Looking at everything from the negative side.

We can change it,

Okay?

Now we may not become the most positive person in the world,

But we can shift that.

And thank you for bringing that up.

That is the great power of this message.

They are showing us the way that consciousness can change.

And as we are in this place in our civilization right now,

Where with the pandemic coming,

We have a tremendous opportunity to shift.

And if we as individuals can shift our DNA,

Then we can shift the collective consciousness and the DNA of our civilization,

Which is like,

Wow.

And if I recall correctly in that message,

They say the way to do that is to come to more of a place of love,

More of a place of acceptance.

If you are negative,

Accept your negativity.

If you are fearful,

Accept that fearfulness.

But they're also challenging us,

The human brothers and sisters,

To help our fellow humans.

And if we're on that journey to become more understanding of those that are having a challenge,

And with and from a place of love,

Help them to figure out a way to shift their DNA.

Yeah.

And I kind of got from that idea of helping others,

That it's not necessarily a.

.

.

When we think help,

We think,

Oh,

Well,

Here,

Let me carry your bag for you,

Or let me do some sort of physical intervention of some sort,

Or as you and I have talked about,

Let me give you a piece of my mind.

It seems like the message is saying just the opposite of that.

Just let your light shine as brightly as you can and be the example of what they could hope to be in that respect.

And without actually hitting them over the head with it,

Just let them perhaps absorb some of your energy as you're giving off the love that you have in your tank.

Right?

100%.

100%.

Before we got on the call,

You talked about being a little bit testy and maybe losing your cool,

Right?

Right.

Right.

Right.

And I think a practical application of what Shaltazira is saying is when you realize that,

When you realize that,

Okay,

I got triggered,

I think all they're saying is apologize.

Apologize to that person you lost your cool with,

Right?

I mean,

You can't undo it.

There's no sense you living in this place of guilt.

Just say,

Gee,

I'm really sorry I lost my cool,

Right?

And by example,

You are going to help them realize it's okay to apologize.

So I think they're really asking those of us that are doing a lot of work,

That those of us that are on a journey of self-discovery,

A spiritual awakening journey,

To take some extra responsibility to help those that may not have seen that yet.

And so you're absolutely right by taking the high road,

By apologizing,

By owning your actions,

By going within and cultivating a little bit of love when you are feeling a little ticked off or frustrated.

And then coming back and taking that,

As I say,

The high road and apologizing,

Those are the things that are going to help those with the higher propensities to maybe shift.

And you're absolutely right.

I think it was Gandhi that said,

My life is my teachings.

And so I think it is by example that we have an opportunity to help others that may not be as fortunate,

That may have some DNA propensities that make their lessons a little bit more difficult and challenging these days.

Sure,

Sure.

And so really the only thing we need to bring to the table is us and perhaps a bit of patience.

You got it.

And it's coming back to that four-letter word,

Love,

Again,

Isn't it?

It sure is fascinating how often Shaltazar in various ways subtly brings us back to love is all we really need.

Simple,

Yet profound.

You got it.

The elusive Holy Grail.

Right,

Right,

Right.

Well,

I think we've used up our time here already.

Another really fascinating conversation.

And I would encourage anybody who's listening to find this message and to either listen to it or read it.

It's really a great message for the time with all the divisiveness and things going on to really to perhaps approach even the most difficult people in your life with a little bit more compassion and a little more patience.

You got it.

Beautiful message.

Thank you for choosing it.

You're welcome.

We'll talk to you next time.

For sure.

More light to everyone.
