
Ajapa Japa | A Powerful Guided Meditation
Ajapa Japa (aka spontaneous awareness of breath mantra) is a complete sadhana and through it one can even have a direct experience of samadhi. In the practice of Ajapa Japa, the component of the breath is utilized to harmonize the body and mind and awaken the spirit.

Namaste.
Nivriti presents Ajapa Jap.
We are practicing today Ajapa Jap Dharana.
Concentration upon spontaneous chant.
Sit comfortably in a meditative posture where your spine is naturally erect,
Head is resting on top of it,
Whole body relaxed and motionless.
Find a comfortable sitting position for yourself,
Observing your body from toes to the head,
From head back to the toes.
If you need to adjust your posture,
Do so now.
Finding a motionless,
Comfortable position for yourself.
During the practice,
Try to keep your position same.
If you really need to adjust your posture,
Be aware that I am going to adjust my posture and then adjust your posture.
So now,
Finding a comfortable position for yourself,
A motionless,
Stable position.
Whole body relaxed.
Whole body relaxed.
Now slowly become aware of touch of the floor to the body,
Pressure from the floor to the body,
Whole awareness on the contact between body and the floor.
Now slowly take your awareness to the temperature here.
Whole awareness on the temperature.
Observing the temperature on your exposed skin.
Be aware of touch of the cloths to the body.
Be aware of whole body.
Observing the sense of touch,
Pressure from the floor to the body,
Touch of the cloths to the body.
Touch of the cloths to the body.
Temperature here.
Try to keep your whole awareness on the sense of touch.
Not allowing your mind to go anywhere else.
Now slowly let go the sense of touch.
Gently take your awareness to the sounds.
Observing all the different sounds here.
Observing all the different sounds.
Observing all the different sounds.
Observe one sound and move to the next sound.
Observe next sound,
Move to the third sound.
Like this,
Keep your awareness moving from sound to sound without getting struck with any one sound.
Whole awareness on the sounds.
Keep moving your awareness from sound to sound.
Now gently try to find the most distant sound which you can hear.
Keeping the awareness moving from sound to sound.
Searching for the most distant sound.
Keep your whole awareness on the sounds.
Whole awareness on the sounds.
Try to find the most distant sound.
Gently letting go the most distant sound.
Bring your awareness to the nearest sound,
The closest sound.
That is sound of your breath.
Whole awareness on the sound of breath.
Gently let go the sound awareness.
Observing your breath.
Be aware of the fact that breath is coming in through the nostrils and going out through the nostrils.
As the breath comes in through the nostrils,
Air is cool.
And as the breath goes out,
Air is warm.
Whole awareness on the nostrils,
On the breath.
Now gently take your awareness to the throat.
Observing your throat.
Try to feel the breath on your throat.
Now slowly,
Slowly contracting your throat muscles.
Start practicing ocean breath,
The Ujjayi breath.
Continue with Ujjayi breath,
The ocean breath.
Now slowly take your awareness to the navel center.
As you inhale,
Bring your awareness to the throat pit.
And as you exhale,
Awareness back to the navel center.
Inhaling to the throat pit,
Exhaling to the navel.
Like this continue.
Making the breath longer and slower.
Long and slow breath.
Keep moving the awareness between the belly button and the throat pit.
Keep your awareness moving between the belly button and the throat pit.
Now slowly,
Slowly,
Slowly,
Slowly.
Keep moving the awareness between the belly button and the throat pit.
Now slowly,
Between your throat pit and belly button.
Visualize a psychic passage,
A transparent clear tube between throat pit and the navel center.
A luminous glowing clear tube.
Inhale along with the clear tube,
Go to the throat pit.
Exhaling,
Come back to the belly button.
Keep your awareness moving.
Inhale to throat pit.
Exhale to belly button.
Whole awareness moving.
Now gently visualize a point of light on the belly button.
As you inhale,
Point of light traveling through the clear tube to the throat pit.
And as you exhale,
Point of light traveling through the clear tube coming back to the belly button.
Inhaling to throat pit,
Exhaling to belly button.
Inhale,
Exhale.
Keep the point of light moving between the throat pit and the belly button.
Whole awareness on the practice.
Do not allow your mind to go anywhere else.
Keep it on the practice.
Now slowly add the mantra,
SHO HAM.
As you inhale,
Mentally repeat to yourself,
SHO.
As you exhale,
HAM.
With SHO point of light traveling to throat pit.
With HAM point of light coming back to the navel.
Keep repeating the mantra mentally to yourself only.
SHO HAM SHO HAM SHO HAM SHO HAM Continue the mantra chanting internally,
Mentally to yourself.
Inhaling to the throat pit,
Exhaling to belly button.
Inhale,
SHO HAM belly button.
SHO HAM Keep the awareness.
Maintain the chant.
Maintain the awareness.
Do not allow your mind to go anywhere else.
Keep it on the chant,
On the practice.
As you inhale,
Take your awareness to throat pit with mantra SHO.
Exhaling with HAM coming back to the belly button.
Keep your whole awareness on the practice.
Do not allow your mind to go anywhere else.
Keep it on the practice.

With SHO to throat pit,
With HAM belly button.
Inhaling point of light to throat pit.
Exhaling to belly button.
Keeping the awareness of mantra.

Psychic passage.
Whole awareness on the practice.
Gently let go the mantra awareness.
Let go the chant.
Try to hear mantra SHO as you inhale and as you exhale try to be aware of HAM.
The primary vibration of the breath.
Inhaling SHO.
Exhaling HAM.
Be aware of the sound of your breath.
Try to hear in inhalation SHO.
In exhalation HAM.
Observing your breath.
Keeping the awareness moving between the throat pit and navel.
Now slowly let go the mantra awareness.
Point of light moving between throat pit and navel.
Inhaling to the throat pit.
Exhaling to the navel.
Inhale throat pit.
Exhale navel.
Now let go the point of light.
Keeping the awareness of psychic passage.
Inhaling to throat pit.
Exhaling navel.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Let go the awareness of psychic passage.
Keep the awareness of breath.
Inhaling to throat pit.
Exhaling to navel.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Now stop the moving of awareness.
Keep your awareness on the belly button.
Now slowly take your awareness to throat pit.
Let go the jai breath.
Let go of ocean breathing.
Gently take your awareness to your heart center.
Awareness on the lower part of the sternum.
Feel the unity with everything in the creation.
Feel one with everything in this universe.
Feel one with everything in this creation.
Whatever exists in this world,
Positive,
Negative,
Pleasurable,
Not so pleasurable.
Feel one with whole creation.
With whole existence.
Feel one with everything in this universe.
Keep your whole awareness on the lower part of the sternum.
On the heart center.
Inducing the oneness with everything in this universe.
Now gently take your awareness to the eyebrow center.
Whole awareness on the eyebrow center.
On a horizontal line take your awareness behind eyebrow center and go to the middle of the brain.
Keep your awareness on the middle of the brain.
Visualize a point of light at the midbrain on the middle of the brain.
Whole awareness on the light.
A warm,
Luminous,
Glowing point at the middle of the brain.
Keeping the awareness on this point,
We shall chant the mantra OM three times together.
Please inhale deeply for OM chanting.
Let go the awareness of point of light.
Observing your head space.
The space between your head.
Observing the vibrations of the chant.
Observing the silence of the mind.
Be aware of your mental state.
Be aware of your body.
Gently remember where you are sitting.
Remember each object in this place.
Remember your position in this place.
Gently move your fingers.
Bring your palms together.
Rubbing them to each other.
Place the balm over your closed eyes.
Observing the balm through eyelids.
Gently massaging your face.
Bring your hands down.
Whenever you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes.

Loved this My long breaths seemed too long and was trying to match the prompt but had to let that go and stay with my longer breaths or I lost concentration Will definitely repeat this very cantering peaceful practice . Thank you!

Gorgeous yelllow 🟡 color in my headspace. Then it looked like space and stars. Then most vibrant blue when covering my hands over my eyes then a wave of vibrant green. 🙏🏼✨😌 Also vast spaciousness feeling in head after feeling the vibrations of OM. 💗
