Namaste.
So as we carry on with our topic of surrender,
I'd like to offer a very simple meditation on surrendering to our inner light called our antaratma.
So whether you're lying down or sitting up,
Gently close your eyes and let the outer world soften as your awareness begins to turn inwards.
Just concentrate on your breath,
Breathing in and out slowly through the nose.
There is nothing to fix,
Nothing to reach and nothing to become.
Simply arrive into this present moment where you can allow yourself to be.
Allow your breath to slow,
Not by force or control,
But by the gentleness of your own permission.
Feel your body being breathed as if life itself is flowing and moving through you.
Allow this flow to gently take place through your breath.
And now gently bring your attention to the centre of your chest.
It is in this part of your chest where there is a subtle space of the spiritual heart in the rudaya.
This is not the physical heart,
But the rudaya cave is a subtle space behind the centre of your chest.
And it is a doorway to your inner light,
Your inner soul light called the antaratma as your inner being.
Sense this space as a vast,
Quiet awareness.
This space has been watching patiently through every moment of your life and it has never been disturbed in its silence,
Stillness.
Come into this space and silently whisper,
I no longer search outside.
I allow myself to return to myself within.
Feel these words dissolve into sensation rather than thought.
This is the invitation of sharanagati.
It is not surrendering to circumstances,
But sharanagati is the surrendering of the intelligence that lives within you.
So can we allow ourselves to surrender to that intelligence that's always lived within us?
Imagine placing all of your concerns and your questions and your quiet burdens at the feet of your own inner being of wisdom.
Here,
You do not need to explain anything because you're already understood.
Allow your shoulders to soften and your jaw to release so that your breath can now fall deeper into your belly.
As we allow all effort to loosen so that we can notice how being truly held feels in the intimacy of being.
Now enter samarpan,
The offering of the doer.
Silently say,
I offer my striving.
I offer my need to control.
I allow life to move through me in the divine flow of being.
Feel the action dissolving into alignment.
Feel will melting into trust.
And simply rest here.
No questions,
No answers,
Just presence,
Just being.
If thoughts arise,
Do not resist them.
Bow to them and let them pass like clouds through the boundless sky or akasha.
In this stillness,
Your antaratma,
Your inner soul self will begin to speak to you,
Not in words,
But in knowing as a quiet certainty,
A deep okayness,
A remembrance of wholeness as being.
This is where your inner guidance lives.
And this is where healing unfolds naturally.
Allow,
Breathe,
Be.
Before we return,
Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your lower belly.
Feel and allow shakti resting within you.
Calm,
Awake and benevolent.
She may feel warm.
She may flutter like a butterfly in your heart.
Allow her to do what she needs to do.
And silently affirm within,
I am held.
I am guided.
I trust the unfolding.
I am held.
I am guided.
I trust the unfolding.
Allow and be.
And take a deep breath in right to the bottom of your belly.
And breathe it out through your mouth now.
And when you feel ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back into this room.
Wriggle your fingers.
Rub your palms together.
Place your hands softly onto your closed eyes.
And gently allow your eyes to open.
Carry this surrender with you,
Not as an idea,
But as a way of being.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
