Welcome to this meditation with Nitya.
Let's take a deep breath in.
Hold,
Hold.
Slowly exhale with a sigh.
Take another big breath in.
Hold,
Hold.
And sigh it out.
In this moment you are holding all that your day is going to be.
What does it feel like?
What does it feel like in your gut?
In your stomach?
What does it feel like in your heart?
What does it feel like in your mind?
When we pause in our day,
We give ourselves an opportunity to just sit with all of that and not do anything with it.
Just sit,
Breathe,
Feel into it.
Is there anything that you can change?
Is there anything you can shift to support yourself better?
Is there just one thing too much that you can reschedule,
Postpone,
Or cancel altogether?
And you need no excuses.
No excuses.
In this pocket of silence and peace that you have given yourself,
We quietly breathe.
Feeling the body,
The mind,
Your heart.
Let's bring hands to prayer position at your heart.
And eyes can be closed if you like.
And breathe your hands up the midline over your head.
Make a diamond shape with your fingers.
Exhale,
Bring that crystal,
That diamond down to your heart.
Back to prayer hands.
Breathe up the midline.
Make that crystal diamond shape with your fingers.
Exhale,
Bring it into your heart.
Keep going.
You might make want to make audible breaths.
And then bring hands back the last time to your heart.
And behind your eyelids.
Notice if that crystal is feeling energized at your heart.
Maybe you're seeing sparkles behind your eyelids.
Maybe you're feeling a sense of color or warmth.
The philosophy of yoga teaches us that that crystal of joy that is in your heart is also filled with love,
Acceptance,
Peace,
Compassion,
Empathy,
Kindness,
All good qualities.
Every living person has these.
This is our innate self,
Our true self.
The self that most of us feel called to listen to respond to and live by.
It's the noise of the world and our ego mind that pulls us away from that crystal of joy,
Love and peace in your heart.
The ego is like the mud.
It sits there,
Waiting to be stirred up by the people and activities of your day.
And when it's stirred up,
You cannot see clearly.
Your words,
Your actions,
Your thoughts are all distorted.
You're trying very hard to operate through all of that mud of the ego mind.
And it serves no one.
It serves no one.
Interesting that humble and humiliate start with hum.
You may humiliate yourself if you do not humble yourself.
To humble yourself is simply to pull down your energy and your focus from the ego mind that is filled with desires and wants,
Manipulations,
Strategies.
And you pull down into the heart space that is much more about other than self.
That is much more about what can I do to be of service to be a helper?
What can you do today to be kind,
Loving,
To bring peace and harmony in the world around you?
And when you shift that focus,
Your vibration automatically rises.
Because your true self is a spirit self,
God self,
Angel self,
Other world self.
It feels great to be a helper in this world.
To avoid arguing,
To avoid stress and anxiety,
To avoid competition and cattiness and drop into that heart space.
And then sit with your day.
Now,
Notice,
If you're sitting in your heart space,
How do you feel about the day that's in front of you?
It's changed now.
It's changed now.
Because you're no longer responding from the ego,
But the heart.
Your perspective is not self involved,
But other involved.
Not in a way that you throw yourself away,
But rather you offer yourself for the betterment of the people around you.
If those people are not deserving of your kindness,
And your care,
Then the question is,
Are you okay with that?
Are you okay with giving of your time and your energy?
To people that you do not feel are deserving of it.
And instead of approaching that work,
Or that interaction with dread,
Or feeling burdened,
Or resentment,
But turn it around.
See if you can't do this work,
Do this action from a place of love,
Kindness,
Compassion.
And if it's truly harmful to you,
Can you let it go?
Can you draw a line in your sandbox and say enough,
I'm done.
I want to put my energy and focus towards environments and people that are also kind and are also compassionate and feels healthier for you.
Only you know these answers.
Let's take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Take a deep breath in.
Exhale slowly.
You might want to take out a journal and reflect upon what has been brought up here in this meditation.
First,
I would love for you to just sit with this.
Sit in your heart space.
And whenever it feels like that heart space is muddied over by the ego,
Come back to prayer hands at the heart.
Breathe up the midline.
Make that crystal.
Bring it down to your heart on the exhale and repeat that breath.
Recharging the crystal of joy,
Love and peace in your heart.
Make it a regular practice to drop into that space.
To live more and more from the heart.
Quieting more and more the ego mind so that you can live a life that is on a higher vibration.
That is going to improve the quality of your life because you're no longer focused on all those other things that are outside of you.
But rather focused on living the qualities of love,
Joy,
Peace,
Compassion,
Empathy,
Gratitude.
You might have some more to add to that list as well.
Live from your heart,
My friend,
And you will live a much happier life.
Let's see if you can set an intention to do that today as your day begins.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om Thank you.
Be well.
