Let's start by beginning in a comfortable seated position,
Hands down on the knees in a gesture of surrender.
Let's take a deep breath in through our nose and exhale out through your mouth.
And again,
Deep breath in through your nose and exhale out through your mouth.
Feel your whole body relax,
Becoming lighter and lighter.
How are you feeling today?
Do you feel anxious,
Stressed,
Depressed perhaps?
Are you looking out at the world lately and feeling so alone in fear?
Sit with this question for a moment.
Offer a pause and some empathy.
Perhaps your emotions want to be seen,
Felt and heard.
How is the emotion showing up in your body?
What does it look like or feel like?
All emotions are natural.
All emotions are valid.
What makes us human and able to live such rich and rewarding lives and relationships is that we have feelings.
When we learn how to fully feel our emotions,
We get to become aware of their purpose,
Their ability to guide us to living and being more authentic in our lives.
We all face moments when it feels like our world seems to turn upside down and the road ahead seems uncertain.
But know that you have the power to shape the stories of your life.
Instead of seeing them as tough times,
View it as a healing period.
It gives you the chance to mend the frightening parts of your life,
Helping you to move forward in renewal and growth.
And it's during these times that we discover our inner strength and resilience.
It's a gift to exist and with existence comes suffering.
Life is not a war.
You do not conquer it nor do you overcome it.
You simply accept that suffering is an inevitable and necessary rite of passage on our paths throughout life.
We exist in a world filled with duality,
Light and darkness,
Good and bad,
Right and wrong,
As well as joy and suffering.
One cannot survive without the other.
So to embrace both wholly and have gratitude for the existence is essential to move forward beyond our hard times to a place of peace.
Now let's bring in a mantra or centering thought for the day.
I welcome this day with courage,
Love and hope.
I welcome this day with courage,
Love and hope.
I welcome this day with courage,
Love and hope.
And now slowly come back to your breath.
Deep breath in and exhale out.
Know that you are safe.
This moment is only temporary and you'll make it through.
As you sit here and relax,
Breathe in and with your exhale breathe all anxiety out.
You are doing the best that you can and you are loved and supported.
Everything will be okay in the end and if it's not okay,
It's not the end.
Slowly open your eyes.
Never give up hope for there are always better days ahead.
Have a beautiful rest of your day and thank you for being here with me.
