Grief... You need to feel it and grieve it. That's all there is to it really. The words that are coming through my spirit to me at this stage are one foot, next foot. One step at a time. Other words that recently stuck with me after reading a poem were "someone is in profound pain right now and in a few months from now they will be thriving like never before. From where they are, they just can't see it. I feel you, I see you and I send you so much love... From my heart to yours xx

Hi beautiful friends,

Today's meditation is for if you are grieving or if you've had a recent loss of relationship or friendship.

Let's start by sitting in a comfortable position,

Hands resting down on your knees as a symbol of grounding.

Close your eyes and begin to bring your attention to your breath.

Breathe in deeply through your nose and exhale out through your mouth and again in through your nose and exhale out.

As you breathe in,

Feel the breath moving into your body.

As you breathe out,

Feel the breath moving out of your body and now breathe in through your nose and give a loud sigh out.

Release all that anxiety and pent up frustration and energy and now slowly let your breathing return to normal.

Start to feel connected with your body,

The air around you,

This moment.

Even during the darkest days,

There is happiness to be found from the smallest things.

Give yourself permission to rest,

To heal,

To be you,

To say no,

To change,

To love yourself,

To ask for help,

To make mistakes,

To pursue your dreams,

To live,

To play,

To laugh and to dream.

It is only because you are capable of loving deeply that you also suffer great sorrow but it's the necessity of loving that heals you.

For grief and love are forever intertwined and grief is a terrible reminder of the depths of our love.

Our sorrows and wounds are healed only when we touch them with compassion.

Deep breath in and exhale out and now say to yourself out loud or silently in your head,

I love,

I forgive,

I release.

I love,

I forgive,

I release.

I love,

I forgive,

I release.

And now it's time to return to your breath.

Deep breath in and exhale out.

Slowly bring your awareness back to your body.

Wiggle your toes,

Rub your fingers together and now wrap your arms around your chest,

Hands on your back as though you're giving yourself a hug.

Feel the love you are giving yourself.

Remember ultimately you are your own best friend so show yourself compassion.

Say to yourself,

I've got you,

I will protect you,

You are my best friend and I love you and now slowly open your eyes.

Remember that you will yell and you will rebuld yourself around the loss you have suffered.

The sun always rises and the day always dawns.

Let the dawn be a reminder that the darkness won't last forever.

May your heart be kind,

May your mind be fierce and may your spirit be brave today.

I wish you a beautiful day a beautiful day.
