Good morning,
This is your daily check-in.
Before you do anything,
Take a quick scan of your body from head to toe and notice where you feel any tension.
Are you clenching your jaw?
Are your shoulders up near your ears?
Does your neck feel stiff?
If you notice tension in any of these areas or perhaps somewhere else in your body,
Take a deep breath.
Imagine sending oxygen to that area of your body where you're holding tension.
Then as you exhale,
Imagine sending relaxation to that area,
Letting it feel heavy and relaxed.
Next,
Pick three things that you are grateful for today.
This can be something as simple as your morning coffee or as complex and deep as you would like.
Now think about a few things that you are excited about today.
It could be a task to complete or something you plan to do for yourself.
Pick one to two things that you are excited for today.
Next,
Decide what you will do today for your physical body,
Possibly a walk at some point during your day,
Some stretches for your neck and shoulders.
Pick one thing that you can do for your physical body.
Now think about the day ahead and the things that you would like to accomplish,
The things that you will accomplish,
And then of course,
The things that you might not get to quite today.
Think about your day in its entirety and come back to this thought and moment at the end of your day and take some time to reflect.
Your day won't be good or bad.
This is simply how we label things.
Your day will probably be neutral like many other days.
It will have ups and downs,
Wins and losses.
Think about your day without judgment and instead with gratitude,
No matter how it turns out for each day is a gift.
So remember to live it that way.
