Welcome to your Seasonal Affective Disorder EFT Topping Meditation.
This meditation is going to be really helpful for you if you struggle with Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD in any way.
SAD can really sometimes have you experiencing depression or anxiety,
Trouble sleeping,
Weight gain or weight loss,
Changes in your appetite.
There are so many things that can happen as the weather changes and sometimes our bodies and our mind are not prepared for those changes.
So that is why we experience these different symptoms.
So this EFT Topping Meditation is really just to help you through that and to help you feel more at peace and more calm with this cycle that we go through and know that it's okay.
The cycle will change and we will get into a different cycle and it only lasts for so long.
So that is really what we are going to be tapping on today and if this is something that you struggle with I am so happy you're here today.
And I also want to give you a disclaimer that I am not a mental health practitioner and if you experience any severe symptoms of depression or anxiety during this time please seek out professional help as this is just meant to help you if you feel more controlled in the things that you're feeling.
So go ahead and get comfortable right now.
If you want you can grade yourself from a 1 through 10.
10 being the strongest feelings of discomfort or unhappiness with this change right now.
With the change in weather or the shorter days whatever it is that you're experiencing.
Just grade that from a 1 through 10.
10 again being the strongest and just see where you land on that scale and we are going to work on really bringing that number down as we tap.
So right now that you're comfortable go ahead and take a deep breath in and out.
Start tapping on the side of your hand.
Even though I don't always feel completely happy during this time of year I fully love and accept myself.
Even though it feels hard to adjust to the shorter days and weather changes at times I fully love and accept myself.
I know that I can get to a place where I accept the cycle of the year and I fully love and accept myself.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Inhale all of the sadness.
Side eye all of the heavy feelings.
Under eye all of the depression coming up for me right now.
Under nose I want to release all of it.
Under mouth sometimes I feel like I have less energy during this time of year.
Collarbone and sometimes I feel like these shorter days won't end.
Under your armpit and sometimes my sleep gets really messed up.
Top of the head and all of this is frustrating to me.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow I want to release all of this.
Side eye I want to be able to tell myself that things work in cycles.
Under eye and right now this is just the cycle that we are in.
Under nose and it's okay.
Under mouth even if it feels a little frustrating or sad or even depressing.
Collarbone I want to release the hold these heavy feelings have on me this time of year.
Under your armpit I want to be able to accept this time of the year.
Top of the head even though it's not always the easiest for me.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow what if I knew that the way I felt would pass.
Side eye what if I knew that this cycle of the year will soon pass.
Under eye what if I could tell myself that it's okay if I slept a little more or a little less right now because it's just a point in time.
Under nose what if I could tell myself that it's okay if I felt a little more sad this time of year because it will soon pass.
Under mouth what if this time of year didn't have to feel so dreary for me all the time.
Collarbone what if when I felt down I made time to do something this time of year that I thought was fun.
Under your armpit what if I made time to do something every day that filled my soul up with joy.
Top of the head what if I didn't let this time of year get to me so much.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow I recognize that this time of year can be difficult for me.
Side eye and that's okay.
Near eye it's okay that the days are shorter.
Under nose because pretty soon they'll be long again.
Under mouth and I will see the sun more again.
Collarbone it's okay that the weather has changed outside.
Under your armpit because pretty soon the weather will change again.
Top of the head it's okay to have a hard time with this change.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow I know that I can do things every day to help my mood during the cycle.
Side eye I can choose to make time for things that I love doing.
Under eye I can choose to have gratitude for what I have in my life.
Under nose I can choose to see friends and connect with people that I love.
Under mouth I can choose to make time for self-care.
Under mouth I can choose to make time for anything that I feel would pick me up during this time of year.
Under your armpit I can also choose to let my body rest more if I need it and not to judge that.
Top of the head I can also allow for any heavy feelings to roll in when they need to for me without judging them.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow I allow myself to experience this point in time however I need to.
Side eye but I will not allow this time of year to control me.
Under eye I don't allow myself to be controlled by having shorter days.
Under nose I don't allow myself to be controlled by having less sunlight.
Under mouth I don't allow myself to be controlled by the weather changing.
Under mouth I allow myself to feel what I feel and be able to express it and let it out.
Under your armpit my life is so beautiful no matter what time of year it is.
Top of the head I am so happy for this life that I have and this time of year and I fully love and accept myself.
Take a deep breath in and out.

If you want to go ahead and regrade yourself on what you graded at the beginning you can go ahead and do that now and just allow yourself to feel however you need to feel this time of year but hopefully right now you feel a little more at peace with the fact that this is just a cycle.
This is just something that we're going through right now and it'll soon change.
We aren't in this cycle forever so hopefully with this EFT tapping meditation you have a little more peace with that right now and you can come back and do this whenever you need to.
