Welcome to your Social Anxiety EFT Tapping Meditation.
This meditation is going to help you work through and conquer your feelings of social anxiety so that you can truly enjoy putting yourself in situations that may not initially feel comfortable for you.
And I want to share a disclaimer first.
I am not a mental health practitioner,
So if anxiety feels very uncontrollable to you,
Please seek out a mental health practitioner to help with this.
If you want to right now,
Go ahead and grade how strong your social anxiety feels from one through ten,
Ten being the strongest.
And we are going to work on bringing this number down as we tap.
So go ahead and get comfortable.
And just begin by taking a deep breath in and out.
Start tapping on the side of your hand.
Even though I have social anxiety,
I fully love and accept myself.
Even though it's hard to deal with social anxiety at times,
I fully love and accept myself.
I know I can get to a place where I am not struggling with this issue all the time,
And I fully love and accept myself.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Thorough all of the anxiety.
Side eye all of the discomfort.
Under eye.
I don't like feeling this way.
Under nose.
Especially when there are places that I might have to go.
Under mouth.
Places that deep down I know I want to go.
Collarbone.
And maybe there's people there that I want to see.
Under your armpit.
Or maybe new people that I want to be open to meeting.
Top of the head.
And I want to release all of the stress and anxiety I feel around this.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow.
I don't like when I feel uncomfortable socially.
Side eye.
I never want to put myself in these situations again.
Under eye.
Sometimes I do things I wouldn't normally do to cope.
Under nose.
I want to stop doing that.
Under mouth.
I want to allow myself to relax in these situations.
Collarbone.
I want to just know that meeting new people is okay.
Under your armpit.
I want to know that nothing bad can come from meeting new people.
Top of the head.
Nothing bad can come from being in a new or even familiar social situation.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow.
What if I just stopped focusing on the fear that I'm feeling?
Side eye.
What if I stopped focusing on the anxiety that I was feeling?
Under eye.
I started to think about how fun wherever I'm going could be.
Under nose.
What if I focused on the benefit of meeting these new people?
Under mouth.
I'm even connecting with people that I already know in maybe a different setting.
Collarbone.
What if these social situations were so much fun for me?
Under your armpit.
What if I met people that I would have never met in any other way?
Top of the head.
What if I went into this new situation with an open mind and was rewarded?
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow.
I allow myself to have fun meeting new people.
Side eye.
I allow myself to have fun around a group of people.
Under eye.
I open myself up for all that is to come.
Under nose.
I allow myself to have a good time.
Under mouth.
I know that I sometimes block myself off from having fun.
Collarbone.
And I want to stop doing that.
Under your armpit.
I don't have to let this anxiety control me anymore.
Top of the head.
I am in control of if I have a good time or not.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow.
I am no longer going to allow this social anxiety to control me.
Side eye.
It can be normal for some people to have trouble meeting new people.
Under eye.
It can also be normal for some people to not like being in groups of new people or groups of people at all.
Under nose.
So it's okay if I experience some reservations and anxiety around this at times.
Under mouth.
But I can still have fun.
Collarbone.
I can bring an open mind to any event or gathering that I attend.
Under your armpit.
I may just have to give myself a pep talk beforehand.
Top of the head.
And that's totally okay.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Eyebrow.
I won't let this social anxiety stop me anymore.
Side eye.
It's safe for me to have a good time with new people.
Under eye.
It's safe for me to put myself in a new situation with new people.
Under nose.
It feels so good to put myself out there in this way.
Under mouth.
It feels so good to open myself up to new experiences.
Collarbone.
It feels so good to try something new.
Under your armpit.
And to get outside of my comfort zone.
Top of the head.
I allow myself to move past my social anxiety and I fully love and accept myself.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Okay,
That is the end of this EFT tapping meditation.
If you want to go ahead and grade how strong your social anxiety feels now that we have tapped through it from a one through 10,
10 being the strongest,
And just see where you land.
Hopefully your number went down.
And if not,
You can always come back and do this one again.
I just want you to know that social anxiety is such a normal thing.
And whenever you're listening to this,
I am actually recording this in 2021 and we have just experienced a pandemic for about two years at this point.
And I think that social anxiety is even more common because so many people have isolated themselves for so long.
So I think it's so important to recognize that if this is something you experience,
You are not alone.
And there are ways to shift your energy and to move your feelings through your body so that you can still experience things that you want to experience in your life.
Because more than likely,
If you are doing this EFT tapping meditation,
You want to put yourself in these social situations and not feel so anxious about it.
It's not that you don't want to,
You want to,
But you want to feel more comfortable doing it.
So just know that you may not be the only one who feels this way,
Even at whatever event or gathering or situation you're putting yourself in.
Other people there might feel the same way because of everything we've gone through collectively in the past two years.
I hope that this was helpful to you.
And I want to thank you so much for listening and I hope you have a great rest of your day.
