Enhance a tranquil atmosphere in the body, mind, and soul to rest in pure presence. There's something special in the air as we turn with the seasonal wheel, not quite the time for incubation yet but approaching that phase in nature's cycles, teaching us how to let go. The detachment, to turn in. This voice-only Deep Rest is created to assist in letting go with ease. From everyday tension to moving home, a new career to losing a loved one. I hope this brings healing and respite even if momentarily. And know that should you fall asleep that's exactly what you need. On the other hand, should you notice the mind is a little overactive… give time to shift through the layers. Thank you for listening and turning into your true nature. The world needs more of you.

Hey,

This is Niav.

I welcome you to this deep rest for letting go.

You can prepare your deep relaxation just as you would sleep at night by drawing the curtains and then either laying on the ground,

A yoga mat or bed or sofa and use a light blanket so you can snug into your cocoon.

You might like to also cover your eyes using an eye mask or a light veil.

Now take time to recognise what you need.

Just getting more comfort and ease into the position that you set up.

Making sure the physical,

Emotional and mental layers become aware of your intention to let go by declaring to yourself,

I am ready to let go for deep rest.

As you lay there,

Allow your feet to roll out,

Letting go more in the hips.

Allow your palms to rest by your sides,

Palms facing skyward and then allow the eyes to sink deep into the sockets,

Resting into the back of the head,

Resting into the back of the body,

Feeling the weight of your heels,

The heels heavy,

Feeling the weight in the hips,

Hips heavy and the shoulder blades and the back of the head,

The back of the head,

All sinking back,

Whole body sinking down and back,

Letting go into the earth that supports.

Become aware of the airflow through both the nostrils,

Nothing to do,

Just notice that on your exhale you feel the weight of the body sinking even deeper down into the earth,

Body letting go with gravity as if falling away,

Tensions melting away on every exhale,

Cleansing every single cell on every inhale and then again emptying on every exhale and filling,

Taking in the new on every inhale,

Releasing the old on every exhale,

Absorbing the new on every inhale,

Letting go on every exhale,

All situations,

All circumstance without getting involved with any internal dialogue,

Your ears listening,

Listening to my voice and becoming more receptive to the space inside of you and to the space outside of you and all around,

Drawing awareness inside,

Listening to the space inside the dome of the ribs,

Listening to the light of the breath bringing freshness into both lungs,

Listening,

Sensing any tension that might be sitting on your heart,

Allowing any heaviness to thaw and melt with the gentle light of the breath,

Warming and softening to open your heart,

Listening through feeling sensation,

Listening to an expansion or tingling,

Maybe even tightness,

This is your heart inviting you in to meet what you most need,

So you can explore its innermost deepest calling,

Your heart knows what that is,

Can you sense this,

If it's not obvious to you now,

You might resonate with the words,

I am resting deeply into pure presence and then repeat,

I am resting deeply into pure presence and one more time,

I am resting deeply into pure presence,

Follow my voice now to rotate your awareness through the body,

Listening to sensations with a feeling awareness within your mouth,

The roof of your mouth,

The back of your mouth,

The tip of your tongue,

The root of your tongue,

Inner right cheek,

Inner left cheek,

Upper gums and teeth,

Lower gums and teeth,

Space between your upper and lower teeth,

Upper lip,

Lower lip,

Space between the lips,

The tip of your nose,

Inside the right nostril,

Inside the left nostril,

Right cheek,

Left cheek,

The softness of your cheeks,

The right eye,

Eyelid,

Temple and eyebrow,

The space between your eyebrows,

The left eye,

Eyelid,

Temple and the eyebrow,

The sensations of both the eyes,

Is there any residual tension in the eyes,

Eyebrows,

Forehead,

Just notice where you may be holding onto tension or is tension holding you,

Sometimes awareness of tension itself can be enough to let go,

Now sensing presence resting on the entire forehead,

Presence seeping into the left brain and into the right brain,

Softening and freeing tension from both hemispheres of the brain,

Sensing presence to trickle down into your throat and into the centre of the chest,

The right shoulder,

Upper arm,

Elbow,

Lower arm,

Wrist,

Palm of the hand,

Back of the hand,

All five fingers,

Thumb,

Pointer,

Middle,

Fourth and little finger,

Sensing skin wrapped around the whole hand,

Forming a physical outline,

Could you become aware of space in between the fingers and sensations inside the palm,

Feeling sensations inside the palm and all around the hand,

Warming,

Tingling,

Sensations merging from the inside out,

As if the skin were to melt away and the hand,

All the sensations are felt as one field of awareness,

Sensations of the hand and the whole right arm,

Underarm,

Shoulder blade,

Tingling,

Right side of the chest,

Heart centre,

Left side of the chest,

Shoulder,

Upper arm,

Elbow,

Lower arm,

Wrist,

Palm of the hand,

Back of the hand,

All five fingers,

Thumb,

Pointer,

Middle,

Fourth and little finger,

Sensing the outline of your skin,

Swathing the whole hand,

Sensing space in between the fingers and now becoming aware of sensations inside the palm,

Heat,

Tingling,

Tremor inside and around the hand,

The hand expanding from the inside out,

It's as though the skin melts away and the inner and outer hand merge as one field of awareness,

Sensations of the whole left arm,

Tingling,

Underarm,

Shoulder blade,

Left side of the chest,

Heart centre,

Navel centre,

Radiant with energy,

Now inside the entire pelvis,

The base of the spine,

The right thigh,

Inside the thigh,

Knee,

Lower leg,

Calf muscle,

Ankle,

Heel of the foot,

Sole of the foot,

Top of the foot,

All five toes,

Big toe,

Second,

Third,

Fourth,

Pinky toe,

The skin swathing,

The whole foot forming a physical outline,

Sensing space in between the toes,

Expanding,

Warming,

The whole foot tingling with sensations,

Merging from the inside out,

The whole right foot and leg vibrating with awareness,

Sensations of the base of the spine,

Left thigh,

Inside the thigh,

Knee,

Lower leg,

Calf muscle,

Ankle,

Heel of the foot,

Sole of the foot,

Top of the foot,

All five toes,

Big toe,

Second,

Third,

Fourth,

Pinky toe,

And the skin swathing,

The whole foot forming an outline,

Sensing space in between the toes,

The expansion,

Merging from inside out,

There's one field of sensation in the whole left foot and leg,

Tingling with sensations,

Allow time for awareness to float to the navel centre,

Noticing the belly breathing,

Nothing to do,

Barely breathing in and out,

Your breath showing that letting go is nature's way,

That there has to be an end of an exhale for the beginning inhale,

And there has to be an end of the inhale to begin the next exhale,

Constant rise and fall of the belly,

Breathing,

Breathing in and out,

Letting go of the exhale to inhale,

Letting go of the inhale to exhale,

No effort,

Just belly breathing naturally in and out,

Letting go to inhale,

Letting go to exhale,

Breath in,

Breath,

Just noticing the breath flowing,

Noticing letting go is already happening freely and spontaneously in and out,

Release this now,

Begin to sense the body full of matter,

Sensing inside the body filled with condensed tissues,

All holding on,

Grasping to the muscles,

And the muscles grasping onto the bones,

Now can you sense all matter inside the body,

Releasing from itself,

Melting into a free flow of energy,

Just allow the body to hollow out this free flowing energy to river,

Again sensing the body holding on,

Matter,

Grasping matter,

Notice what you feel,

Holding on,

Tightening,

Tensing,

Grabbing,

Grasping,

And then again releasing,

Emptying,

Body hollowing out,

Spaciousness inside the body,

River of free flowing energy,

Could you bring together space in the body and condensed matter,

Both equal space and matter in the body,

Sensing all of the cells,

Tissues,

Muscles,

Bone,

Holding on,

Simultaneously free flowing,

All the matter of you floating in a free flow of spaciousness,

Letting go,

Holding on,

Now let go of all the sensing and give time for awareness to float to the eyebrow centre,

The light of the mind's eye,

Could you imagine the rising sun,

A laughing baby,

A blue cloudless sky,

Torrential rain,

A vast desert,

A cup of tea,

Blossoming flowers,

The fall of autumn leaves,

Bare trees,

A waning moon,

A grandparent leaving loved ones,

A winter sunset,

A black sky,

Release now the already happening letting go,

Letting go of the letting go itself,

And rest back into the true nature of pure presence,

Pure awareness,

Resting back,

Gently call in your heart's innermost deepest truth,

Or perhaps today you are absorbing the declaration I am resting deeply into pure presence,

Let this resound three times inside your being,

I am resting deeply into pure presence and again gently sensing into the rise and fall of the belly breathing,

Begin to become aware of the shape of the body and the ground that supports,

Become aware of the space that surrounds the outline of your being seemingly separating you from one field of awareness,

Take a breath in through your nose,

A longer breath out through your mouth,

This time two short breaths in through your nose,

Again a long breath out with an audible sigh one more time through the nose,

And a long exhale you might like to move the fingers and the toes,

Just gently touching the fingertips one by one with your thumb and let the body spontaneously yawn,

Stretching from your toes all the way up,

Reaching the arms over the head,

And then bring one knee into the chest,

Nice and slowly,

With no rush,

Just drawing it in and then release,

Gently placing your leg on the ground,

And bringing the other knee into your chest,

Nice and slow,

Drawing in,

And gently placing this leg on the ground and now bring both knees in,

Give yourself a sweet hug from the inside out,

And in your own time gently falling to one side,

Resting there as long as you need this deep rest of letting go shows us non-attachment,

We realise now letting go is already happening,

Constantly,

This is nature's way for the continuum of fresh life to flow through it's just a matter of remembering that if we hold onto our breath there is no letting go,

Physiologically and in turn psychologically,

Once the letting go lowers cortisol levels in the body,

Meaning less stress there is a reduction of high blood pressure and there is a cleansing to the blood which generates alpha brainwaves,

Which puts us in the zone to enable rest,

Which then develops an openness and receptivity to pure presence again,
