Hello friends and welcome to your meditation today.

I hope that you are having a great day,

But just know that if you're not,

That's okay.

However you're showing up to this practice is welcome.

Before beginning today's practice,

Let's be curious in our bodies and see if there's anywhere that feels like it could use a bit more attention before we get started.

So this may be a stretch that is needed.

Perhaps it's taking a deep breath.

Maybe even placing the hand over the heart if today has been a bit heavy for you.

But just feeling what your body needs.

What's nourishing for you today.

And taking that now.

Giving yourself that permission to choose what is right for you.

And once you feel ready,

You can then choose what position will be most nourishing for your body today.

That may be seated.

Or perhaps laying down on the ground would be best for you today.

If you are going to remain seated,

Perhaps have a pillow to help the pelvis tilt a little bit easier.

It's just a pillow right under your seat.

If you are laying down,

Maybe you want to put a pillow beneath the knees and underneath the head for added comfort and support here.

And if it feels safe to do so,

Gently closing the eyes.

If that does not feel comfortable for you,

Just softening the gaze.

And taking a deep inhale here and exhale with a sigh.

Taking another deep inhale and when you exhale with a sigh this time,

Try to release your body.

Doing this for a third time,

See if you can relax your muscles just a little bit more on the exhale.

And today's meditation is going to be a reflective one.

Investigating our emotions and our physical body when we talk about our different beliefs around peace.

Taking a moment here to conjure up the feeling of peace in our body and our mind.

The feeling of inner peace.

There may be other ideas of things dancing around our idea of peace.

This could be things like love,

Friendship,

Maybe even other things like being alone.

Maybe that's peaceful for you.

Feeling inner peace from the tip of your toes to the tip of your head.

And feeling it deeply in your heart.

Now that you are feeling peace in your body,

I want you to reflect on what peace is to you.

Is it a feeling?

Is it tangible?

Is it more than one thing?

Is peace complex for you?

And becoming more curious about our relationship to peace,

Why is it meaningful to you?

Is it meaningful to you?

Being further still,

Do you feel you have enough peace in your life?

Is there a situation where it would be easy to bring a bit more peace to it?

Whether this is personal or relational.

And thinking of a situation that is either taking away your peace or that you feel is less than ideal and could really use some peace.

Is there any room for change there?

Is there anything that you could positively contribute if you came to it from a place of peace?

It doesn't have to be big.

It can even be starting small.

But just being open to approaching something differently.

And letting go of these reflections in the mind.

Take a deep inhale and exhale in a way that is calming to you.

And placing your hand over your heart,

Think of something you're grateful for.

It can be something very deep and meaningful or it can be something very small.

But just something that you are genuinely grateful for in this moment.

And allowing that gratitude to fill your heart.

The eyes close,

Just begin to wiggle your toes and your fingers.

Just taking little movements,

So maybe that's placing your hands over your head,

Stretching out your arms.

And rubbing the hands together to create some warmth.

You can place your hands over your heart to seal in that gratitude.

Rubbing the hands together again to create more warmth.

And you can place your hands over your heart,

Your belly,

Your eyes,

Whatever feels comforting to you.

Maybe we have open hearts,

Open minds and open eyes.

And gently releasing the hands and blinking the eyes open if they're closed.

Thank you so much for practicing with me today.

I hope that you can go forward with a little bit of peace in your heart and gratitude in your heart.

Just knowing that some days it's easier to have peace and gratitude than others.

And some days it's a lot harder.

Knowing that this is part of the human experience and you are always welcome no matter how you show up.

Thank you again.

Bye for now.
