Today's meditation is going to focus on change.
And if you're like me,
Change can be scary,
Because if there's change,
Then there's an element of the unknown.
And when we get what we're used to,
When we stay in the status quo,
We know what to expect.
But when there's change,
Especially when there's growth,
There's the element of the unknown,
And there's fear involved many times,
Because we don't know what the path holds for us.
It's a trail that we've never been down before.
Today's meditation is going to help allow you to shift from a place of fear in regards to change,
To a place of excitement and wonder.
I found that when the shift takes place,
It makes every day a gift full of excitement.
There isn't the dread,
There isn't the fear.
It's just pure childlike wonder,
Looking at the world with brand new eyes.
So before we begin,
Settle in,
Find a place where you can be comfortable,
Quiet and free from distraction for the duration of your meditation.
So close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose,
Bringing the breath all the way down to the very bottom of your belly as it expands.
And then gently release the breath through your mouth,
Allowing each breath to calm your mind and soothe your body,
Allowing your shoulders to drop,
Your muscles to release,
And your mind to clear.
Breathing at your own perfect pace,
Encouraging each breath to become a little bit deeper,
A little bit slower each time.
If you find your mind beginning to wander,
That's okay.
Observe the thought without judgment,
And then direct your focus back to your breath.
So close your eyes and take a deep breath in this meditation.
Bring to mind a time where you underwent a large change in your life,
Maybe a change in careers,
Maybe the beginning or an end of a relationship,
Or maybe even a big change in your daily routine.
Allow yourself to go back to the period before the change occurred after you became aware that the change was coming.
Allow yourself to witness any emotions that you experienced at the time.
Was there excitement?
Was there fear?
Was there urgency?
Now allow yourself to bring your mind back to the present moment,
And allow yourself to become aware of any feelings that come up as you look and see how that major change has affected your life today.
Are you stronger?
Were there lessons learned?
Or maybe even regrets?
Now taking a deep breath in,
Honoring and appreciating yourself because you made it through that change.
You made it to the other side and that the path is no longer unknown to you.
Becoming aware of any lessons that were learned along the way.
Allowing the miracles that occurred throughout the process to become apparent to you.
As you approach change moving forward,
Give yourself permission to detach of any fears,
Any worries.
Allowing yourself to be fully present,
Open to new experiences,
New lessons,
New miracles along your path.
Looking at the unknown as an opportunity,
An exciting new chapter that holds wonder,
That holds growth.
Taking a deep breath in,
Breathing in faith,
Allowing yourself to surrender to the faith of the process.
Having faith that you will make it through and become a better person because of it.
As each change occurs in life,
You are strong and resilient and excited to walk through them.
Encountering unique situations that you have never experienced before adding to the fullness of your life.
Inhale,
Breathing in faith.
Exhale,
Releasing fear.
Knowing that when you release fear,
You create space and you are able to move forward.
Inhale,
Releasing fear.
Knowing that when you release fear,
You create space for miraculous and wonderful events to occur in your life.
You allow yourself to see the miracles along the way in places that your vision would get blocked by fear.
Breathing in,
Repeating to yourself,
I embrace faith.
Exhaling,
Repeating,
I surrender my fear.
Taking a deep breath and gently wiggle your fingers in your toes,
Bringing your shoulders forwards and backwards,
Bringing awareness back to your body.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
This meditation is a great reminder that our experiences in life are directly affected by where our mindset lies.
And that when we meet change head on with excitement and wonder,
It can be a wonderful and life-changing experience instead of one full of dread and fear.
And I don't know about you,
But I'll take the first option any day.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
Have a wonderful day.
Namaste.
