Before we begin,
Find a place where you can be quiet and free from distraction for the duration of your meditation.
["Sky-City"] ["Sky-City"] Take a deep breath in through your nose and draw the breath all the way down to the very bottom of your belly,
Feeling as it expands against your clothing.
And then gently release the breath through your mouth,
Allowing yourself to breathe at your own natural rhythm,
Encouraging each breath to become a little bit deeper and a little bit slower with each inhale and each exhale.
As you breathe in,
Allow the breath to clear your mind and wash away any stress or worries that might be weighing you down.
And as you exhale,
Release any tension,
Any lingering thoughts,
And allow your body and mind to embrace a silent stillness within.
Feeling as your body becomes more and more calm,
Begins to enter a state of relaxation.
And your mind becomes clear and fluid,
Allowing any thoughts that enter to simply drift by without any attention,
Any attachment.
In recovery,
Three invaluable tools is the ability to self-examine the act of prayer and the practice of meditation.
While each one of these disciplines is extremely useful and beneficial in and of themselves,
When you combine them,
You create a solid foundation and secure your recovery.
You make the conscious decision to take the action to self-appraise,
To pray,
To meditate.
And instead of waiting for inspiration to take action,
You choose to take the first step and allow the inspiration to come intuitively and effortlessly as you proceed in your practice.
These disciplines allow clarity,
Gratitude,
And the ability to listen to your own personal guidance from the universe.
And you can do so by taking the first step and the ability to listen to your own personal guidance from the universe,
Allowing a renewed faith and a solidified recovery,
Trusting in the process while taking the actions.
When you interweave self-appraisal,
Prayer,
And meditation,
You create a solid bond,
A solid structure upon which your recovery can grow and flourish,
Upon which you can grow spiritually and as an individual,
Allowing yourself to become one of many,
Contributing to the world around you and allowing your light and your gifts to shine.
Take a deep breath and gently wiggle your fingers and toes,
Bringing awareness back into your body.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
I hope that you've enjoyed today's meditation.
It's one that touches on some of my favorite practices.
And to be perfectly honest,
I'm not always inspired to pray,
Practice self-appraisal,
Or even meditate some days.
But I find that when I take the initial first step and I just take that action,
That the enjoyment and the inspiration come along the way.
So this is a great meditation if you're not feeling extremely motivated or if you just need to reinforce your practice a little bit more.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
Have a wonderful day.
Namaste.
Thank you.
