All right,

Welcome back to this third rendition of Mapping the Present Moment.

This will be our final session of the series and at this point I imagine that you are a exquisite cartographer of the present moment.

So let's go ahead and finish off the series with one final meditation.

And in this one we're really going to indulge in a little bit more silence.

So we can begin in a comfortable seated position.

If you enjoyed last session's option to sway around and find a centered seating position,

Then you can go ahead and do that again.

Sitting very slowly and gently side to side like a pendulum until you land back right there in your center.

And that's where we'll start.

You're welcome to close your eyes if you'd like as well.

So why don't we start this session by drawing our map of what the mind looks like in this moment.

And that means we are simply bringing a calm,

Open awareness to whatever it is that our mind is generating in this present moment.

One more question.

.

.

If you find your mind being pulled in some direction,

That's totally okay.

It's simply an invitation for you to understand the path that your mind went down.

And use the moment to ask yourself,

Where is my awareness?

.

.

Now,

As we map the present moment and examine the details of what our mind looks like in this moment,

One of the things that inevitably happens is that there is motion,

There are thoughts,

There are visions or ideas or memories that are playing in the screen of your mind.

And what we can do as we sit here and meditate is lean back and instead of being a character in the play,

Just imagine that you are watching the flow of your mind as if you were watching a movie as a third-party observer.

.

.

Where is your awareness?

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

That is simply one more thing to notice.

What a wonderful concept, taking us into a type of somatic survey of where we're at on a given day. A gift that I'm grateful for! 🙏
