Hello and a warm welcome to this guided meditation.
Even if you're just tuning in here to get a sample of my work,
I still invite you to find a comfortable position for these next few minutes.
When our minds are balanced,
Our bodies feel balanced.
And when our minds are distracted,
Our bodies can feel tight and tense.
So take a deep inhale and notice the level of energy in your body right now.
Tune in to what your body is telling you.
And if something is feeling off center,
You can use the breath to return to a state of equilibrium.
Watch the easy rise on your inhale and the gentle fall on your exhale.
You haven't done so already,
You can close your eyes and soften your eyelids.
Really allow your breath to flow however it wants to flow in this moment.
And feel the body move in synchrony.
Let your cheek muscles relax.
Let your jaw drop.
With your next exhale,
Feel your shoulders soften.
And just take a few moments here to breathe deeply.
In and out.
Melting away any resistance.
Good breathing here through your abdomen,
Filling the belly with air before slowly falling out on the exhale.
Try as best you can to maintain a gentle yet alert awareness on this rhythm of breathing.
Bringing air in fully and deeply through the belly.
Try and allow any thoughts to come and go without getting attached.
And as you continue to breathe mindfully,
Observe whatever sensations arise as you continue to flow with the breath.
If you find your mind getting distracted,
Don't worry,
That's totally natural.
Probably just means you're human,
Actually.
But there's a time and place for to do lists and responsibilities.
Right now is your moment to relax.
Rather than filling in the gaps of your day with more noise,
See what happens when you let your mind unwind.
Precision is only possible with the present state of mind.
So feel each exhale clear the clutter,
Giving way to a sensation of spaciousness and calm focus.
Don't make it complicated.
Remember that this entire practice is as simple as breathing.
Rest in the space that exists between exhale and inhale.
Lean back into the natural stillness that arises when your breath is given the space to flow freely.
Each distraction is simply an opportunity to come back to your center.
So observe that flow of ideas,
Images,
Patterns,
And thoughts that arise in your mind.
With an exhale,
Let them go.
Taking each breath is an opportunity to expand the space between these drifting thoughts.
Okay.
As this meditation comes to a close,
You can finish by just taking a few more deep breaths.
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
Whenever you're ready,
You can slowly start to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Turn your attention back to the space around you.
Take one more deep inhale and on the exhale,
You can blink your eyes open.
Sweet.
Feel free to move around.
Give yourself a celebratory stretch.
Congrats.
You just meditated.
Thank you very,
Very much for tuning in with me here and I wish you a most peaceful day.
