Stuck meditation.
This meditation will take roughly between three to five minutes.
Before we get started today getting anything that you need to support your lower back,
So that might be a blanket if you need it,
Maybe a block to place underneath your feet so you feel more grounded.
And we're starting the practice with tuning into how you're feeling right now and becoming aware of how the body is feeling right now as you breathe in and breathe out.
I'd like you to imagine the time that you felt stuck or maybe you might be feeling stuck right now and imagining the sense of the feeling,
How you feel,
What happened and the more intense feeling of feeling stuck.
Maybe at work,
In your career,
In acting,
Any sense of overwhelm,
Maybe completing too many tasks and breathing deeply into this feeling,
Having a sense of any fears you may have right now and what you're trying to do and begin to notice any feelings of the more chance of change and awakening and try to soften that experience being kind and compassionate and maybe saying something like,
May this serve the awakening of kindness and compassion for myself right now.
It can be helpful to introduce a question.
So using inquiry,
How can I show myself more kindness in the moments I feel stuck?
So notice what that question feels like for you.
A sense of allowing good to flow through with the acceptance of not running away from the stuckness but instead going towards it and it can be helpful to repeat the following phrases.
Soften,
Soften,
Soften.
Whatever you're experiencing,
If it's fear caught in a cycle of overwhelm,
Noticing where this shows up in the body and begin to send love and kindness to that area,
Recognizing any vulnerability there,
Knowing in your heart it will all be okay.
I'll be okay.
You're having that sense of,
I'll be okay.
As we come to the end of the practice,
Having that sense of compassion to yourself as you go about your day,
Opening your eyes whenever you feel ready.
