In this meditation we will be achieving an Olympic state of mind.
What that means is you will be able to see it and believe it,
To see your success before it even happens.
This is what many Olympic athletes do and today we are going to do the same.
So go ahead and get comfortable.
Find a position that is best for you whether that is seated upright or lying down.
And go ahead and close your eyes when you get there.
For this meditation I want you to bring your conscious attention and awareness to each moment.
Just how Olympic athletes are incredibly focused.
We will also bring the same level of focus to our practice today and to our breath.
If your mind wanders at any point during this meditation,
Go ahead and bring your attention back to your breath and to the present moment.
This is how you can achieve these same peak levels of concentration.
Let's begin by focusing on our breath.
Go ahead and bring your attention to your breath now.
Focus your attention on each inhale and each exhale.
You can even repeat silently in your mind.
Inhale as you breathe in and exhale as you breathe out.
Just placing your full attention and awareness on each breath and relaxing deeper.
And now I want you to take this next minute to feel love and appreciation for yourself.
Think of two or three times you felt proud of yourself for either who you are or something that you did or accomplished.
Take this minute to focus on those things.
You may feel more gratitude towards yourself and you remember that you are capable of big and amazing things.
I want you to stay in this state of confidence as we move into visualization.
Think about any area in your life you would like to see success.
You can pick any area.
Your career,
Your relationships,
Maybe a hobby.
Now I want you to see a screen in your mind just like a big projector movie screen.
And whatever the word success means to you,
I want you to imagine what success looks like to you in this area of your life.
Project it onto the screen and see what that would look like.
This is your time to daydream.
So dream big and imagine.
See it clearly and vividly in full and bright colors.
What sort of actions do you see yourself taking?
What sort of sounds do you hear?
Are your biggest fans there cheering you on?
Live in this mental movie as if it were happening right now.
What does this success feel like?
Allow this feeling to completely take over your body.
Just taking a few more moments to visualize.
And sometimes we don't always know how we're going to get there,
But just knowing what you want and taking time to visualize can make you see and believe that this is possible.
And as we end this meditation,
I want you to revisit this visualization any time you feel you doubt your ability to achieve success.
You are worthy of success and you have seen it is possible.
Now go ahead and bring your attention back to the room,
Back to your body.
Take a stretch if you need it and open your eyes when you're ready.
