Breathing space,

Meditation.

Come to a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down.

Elongate fully through the crown of your head,

Relax your shoulders,

And feel your shoulder blades sliding down your ribs.

Soften your gaze,

Or gently close your eyes,

And now draw your attention to your mind,

Noticing what the weather pattern is like in your mind.

Peaceful,

Cloudy,

Stormy.

You are noticing thoughts entering your mind.

Allow this to happen.

Try not to suppress anything,

But try not to create anything.

Allow the thoughts to enter your mind freely,

And now narrow your awareness to your breath,

Observing the gentle,

Subtle movements of your breath,

Of the chest and the belly rising with your inhale,

And falling back towards the spine with your exhale,

Noticing the sounds of your breath,

Sounds of the inhale and exhale,

Guiding your breath further down to your belly,

And exhaling freely.

Breathe in deeply,

Breathe out calmly,

Breathe,

And breathe again,

And now expand your breath throughout the whole body.

Imagine that your body is your breathing organ,

That you can breathe in through every single cell of your body,

And breathe out with your body,

Inhaling deeply and filling up every single corner of your body,

And as you exhale,

You are releasing whatever you wish to get rid of.

Breathing in deeply,

Breathing out calmly,

Seeing the shape your body carves into the space that surrounds it,

Like a silhouette,

And you are breathing through every single cell of this body,

And breathing out from every single cell of your body.

Breathe,

And breathe again,

And now slowly coming back to your core,

Back to your breath,

Back to the subtle movements of your inhale and exhale,

As the chest and the belly rise and fall back towards the spine.

Breathe in deeply,

Breathe out calmly,

Breathe,

And take a deep inhale through your nose,

And breathe out through your mouth,

Taking another deep breath in,

And deep breath out through the mouth,

And breathe in deeply all the way down to your abdomen,

And now take a gentle sigh out,

And slowly open your eyes,

And return back to your day.
