Guided by Nancy Bunt, this afternoon meditation will assist you in releasing the stress and tension of the first part of your day. With the incorporation of guided imagery and affirmation, this meditation is a great way to recharge and reconnect to your personal power. Taking time to meditate in the afternoon will re-stabilize your energy and support you throughout the rest of your day.

And take a few moments to find your way into a comfortable seated position for this afternoon meditation.

And as you find your way into a comfortable position,

Give yourself permission to take the next few minutes to recharge and to reconnect to your personal power.

You're truly worth taking this time.

Making your spine comfortably straight and any further adjustments to accommodate your body's needs at this time.

Let's begin with taking a few nice full cleansing breaths in just to start releasing any tension that may have developed from the first part of your day.

Maybe breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth for a few.

And even give your arms,

Shoulders,

Body a gentle shake with each exhale.

So you're consciously releasing and letting go of any tension that may be accumulating.

And with this last nice full cleansing breath in,

On your exhale let out an audible haaaas.

You shake the body out.

And settling in,

Checking in with your present state of being.

And turning your attention to just observing the flow of your breath without trying to change anything.

Simply observing.

Maybe shifting to breathing in and out through your nose if that's accessible to you.

Allowing your breath to settle.

As you just observe,

Your breath will organically begin to slow down and deepen.

There's no need to try to change,

Fix,

Or control anything.

Begin to tune into the subtle sensations and rhythms of your breath and your body.

Not worrying if your mind wanders,

Gets caught in thoughts,

Or becomes aware of disturbances around you.

Anytime you notice it,

Just gently bring your attention back to the movement of your breath,

The subtle sensations and rhythms in your body.

Just observing with openness and curiosity.

Letting go of judgment and worry.

You can't do this wrong.

Just be.

Know that each breath you take in is a gift from the universe.

And each outgoing breath you are releasing all that no longer serves your highest good.

There's no place you need to be.

Nothing that needs to be done.

Just breathe.

Allowing everything to be just as it is in this moment.

Each breath you take connects you deeper to your true nature and to your personal power.

If I were to ask you to tell me about a place that makes you feel alive,

At peace,

And inspired,

Where would that be?

It may be on a mountaintop,

Standing on a beach in front of a vast ocean,

Or it may be a place you've visited,

Seen pictures of,

Or read about.

Wherever this place is,

See it,

Feel it,

Bring it to life using all of your senses.

Fully embody this place.

Really try to immerse yourself in this place.

See it in your mind's eye.

Feel it with your entire body and being.

Smell the air.

Each breath you take in this place strengthens your personal power,

Grounds and stabilizes your energy,

And connects you to the limitless power of potential.

All the strength and power of the universe rests within you.

You are always connected to the infinite power and strength of the universe.

You can be anything.

You can do anything.

You can manifest anything.

Allow this affirmation to sink in as you experience your place of empowerment.

And now keeping this deeper connection to your personal power and knowing you can always reconnect to this place at any time in your daily life.

Let's take a deeper than normal breath.

Maybe start to stretch your body a little as you begin to gently re-enter your day.

Maybe reach your arms up and open your chest wide.

Feel the power and strength within you.

By taking this brief time to meditate,

You have re-stabilized your energy.

As you are ready,

Opening your eyes and enjoy the rest of your day.
