Woken up feeling tired and not your best self? Or maybe you feel rested but lacking direction? That’s okay, we all have these days. Rather than resisting or judging where you’re at, why not take a few moments of mindfulness to greet yourself with love and acceptance. After tuning in with how you’re feeling, you’ll have the opportunity to set an intention to help support you throughout the rest of your day!

Good morning and welcome to Move into Mindfulness.

My name is Eve and I will be guiding you through a short meditation to help start your day with mindfulness and intentionality.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.

You may wish to gently close your eyes or keep them open.

Now start to draw your attention inwards.

Notice how you are feeling today.

Perhaps you may feel tired and low on energy or maybe you feel rested.

Perhaps there may be a particular emotion present for you today.

Become curious and tune in to how it feels to be you in your body in this moment.

Whether you feel comfortable or uncomfortable sensations give yourself permission to release any judgment you may feel towards yourself.

Welcome in a sense of love and acceptance knowing that it is okay to feel however you feel right now.

After checking in with where you're at today begin to call to mind a one-word intention which represents how you want to move forward into the rest of your day.

Perhaps you would like to invite in more self-compassion,

Maybe patience,

Authenticity,

Courage,

Faith,

Fun or fearlessness.

See what arises for you trusting your intuition to guide you.

Now begin to draw your attention to your breath.

Start to deepen your breathing.

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling out through your mouth.

On your next inhale focus on breathing in the energy of your intention welcoming it into your day and as you exhale relax letting go of any stagnant energy or feelings you want to release.

Inhaling to focus on your intention and exhaling to let go releasing any blockages.

Repeat this twice more at your own pace.

Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.

Connect to a sense of grounding feeling your body in contact with the surface below you.

Gently begin to wriggle your fingers and toes and open your eyes if they were closed coming back into the room.

Allow the positive intention you have generated here this morning to anchor you throughout the rest of your day knowing that you can use your breath like we've done here this morning to help connect back to your intention at any time you feel you need.
