This is a humming meditation.
You can use it to relax through the regular slow breathing patterns we'll use to hum and through the increase in happy hormones music brings.
You can follow my humming tunes or make up your own if you're feeling created today.
Find a comfortable position,
Close your eyes and breathe through your nose,
Mouth gently closed.
Put your hands on your stomach and aim to breathe so that the front of your stomach moves slowly in as you breathe out and so that the front of your stomach moves out as you breathe in.
Just a small movement.
Now lower and relax your hands.
Make your spine comfortably long,
Shoulders loose,
Arms released,
Face soft.
I'll hum a short phrase,
You could echo the same phrase or maybe make your own tune up.
Enjoy making the sound,
Let it fill your head with vibration.
Let your face and mouth buzz softly with the hum.
Be aware of how it feels.
Spine is long and loose,
Shoulders melting and soft,
Head released and expansive.
Let your stomach release each time you stop humming to breathe in.
Humming Let your face and mouth buzz softly.
Be aware of how it feels.
Humming Humming Chest wide,
Shoulders loose,
Neck soft.
Humming Humming Humming Humming Humming Humming Humming Humming Humming Humming Humming Humming Back is wide and free,
Shoulders loose and low,
Hands soft and warm.
Continue quietly humming as you wish.
Let your face and mouth buzz softly with the hum.
Be aware of how it feels.
Humming Humming Humming Humming Humming Take a moment to rest and be still.
Turn your head gently from side to side.
Open your eyes.
