Practice this meditation to help you stay healthy or when you have any health concerns, from a common cold to more severe illnesses. It can be a support if you are undergoing medical treatment. In times of stress and anxiety, it is natural for our body to be in "survival" mode, and many of us find it difficult to feel relaxed at the end of the day or even after waking up. You can help your body achieve a healthy balance by activating your vagus nerve, which is part of the parasympathetic nervous system (responsible for relaxing us) and regulates many internal functions of the body. This meditation will help you reach a body-mind relaxed state, and with the visualization, you'll direct energy throughout your vagus nerve to balance and recharge your immune system and activate the safe signs to protect, clean, and heal your body. Welcome.

I'm so pleased to meditate with you today with the purpose of increasing your healing energy.

My name is Monica Mulder and I'll guide you through a visualization and a meditation to help activate your vagus nerve,

A part of your nervous system that plays a vital role in your health and well-being.

In this wholeness of body-mind relaxed state,

Your intelligent immune system recharges of energy and is receptive of the safe signs to protect,

Clean and heal what needs to be healed in your body.

Take a comfortable position.

You can lie down or sit if you prefer.

Take a few deep breaths and with each exhale let go all the tensions and concerns of the day.

If any thoughts about the past or the future appears,

Let them pass.

There's no need to hold on to them or to push them away.

Any sensations or pain in your body,

Allow it.

You can make space for it too.

If you notice a certain pain that you don't recognize,

Always consult your doctor about it.

Whatever you are feeling at this time,

It won't go against the practice.

So everything you feel and everything you think,

You can give space for it to come and go in and out of your awareness.

Now I invite you to imagine stepping into a beautiful,

Relaxing,

Sunny field of grass.

It can also be a field of flowers.

And as you walk through,

The vibrant green grass tickles your bare feet and creates a soft and comforting sensation.

The air is filled with the fresh scent of sweet honey flowers carrying hints of lavender and daisies.

Instantly it uplifts your mood and clears your mind.

The temperature is exactly how you like it.

The warmth of the gentle sun rays on your skin makes you feel at ease,

As if all your worries are melting away.

The butterflies playfully dancing from flower to flower make you smile.

The soft sound of the birds and the gentle breeze rustling through the grass is soothing.

It's a serene place,

Transporting you to an oasis of peace and tranquility.

You feel at home.

You feel safe.

There's nowhere else to go and nothing else to do.

You find a soft,

Comfortable patch of grass where you can lie down.

You lie down and your body is in contact with the earth.

You start to connect with the energy field that's all around you and you find yourself doing a sigh of relief.

You notice your thoughts pass like clouds in the sky.

You let all the sensations,

The sounds,

The thoughts pass by.

You notice your breath.

With each breath you get in contact with your body.

You are in full awareness of your body.

With one hand on your stomach and the other hand on your chest,

You notice how your belly rises and falls,

Rises and falls.

Now,

Breathing through your nose if you can,

Take a deep gentle breath in,

Feeling first your diaphragm and then your lungs.

Breathe in as much as you can.

Hold for a few seconds and exhale slowly,

Making a soft humming sound.

One more time.

Breathe in,

Hold for a few seconds and exhale long,

Gentle and slow.

Now breathe with your natural rhythm.

With each breath you are showing your vagus nerve that is closely in contact with your parathympathetic nervous system,

The part of the nervous system that allows you to relax,

That you are ready to release the tensions of the day.

With each breath you are communicating to your body that you are safe at this moment,

That your respiratory rate can go back to normal so that you feel your breathing more fulfilling and effortless.

It can also regulate your heartbeat to beat calmly.

As you gradually relax,

Your body and your mind feel balanced and at ease.

With each breath you are sending the signs to your nervous system that it can relax,

That it's safe to release the tensions of all your muscles,

Of your feet,

Your legs,

Hip,

Releasing the tensions on the stomach,

Your back,

Your chest,

Your arms and hands,

Your shoulders,

Your neck and your face.

Also the muscles of your lips,

Jaw and forehead.

You allow yourself to feel how you feel,

Even if you feel good or bad.

You are okay at this moment.

You thank the body for the efforts made through the day and you are open to letting go tensions.

You give yourself permission to relax because you are safe right now.

You don't judge your experience at this moment.

It's okay to feel whatever you are feeling right now.

You don't make a problem out of it.

What you are looking for is to be okay with this moment.

Even if it might seem that you are not doing this meditation perfectly,

It's okay how you are doing it.

The fact of being attentive,

Present at this moment and feeling your body is enough.

It's enough to activate your vagus nerve for it to send the necessary signs to your organs,

Your brain,

Your heart,

Lungs,

Stomach,

Spleen,

Liver,

Gallbladder,

Pancreas,

Kidneys,

Intestines,

All of them to function properly.

For your heart rate,

Breathing and digestion to function at its best and for any healing to take place.

There is an acupuncture point that activates the vagus nerve on the ear.

So now I'm going to invite you to visualize.

To imagine you have a small energy ball on each ear like a tiny glowing pearl charged from the energy of the nature around you.

This luminous ball of light is going to travel through your vagus nerve and activate its intense capacity of healing,

Awakening the energy and vitality within each organ along the way.

So let's start.

Imagine the ball of energy traveling from each ear to the brainstem at the base of your head.

They join with each other becoming one ball of energy and they spread a wave of calmness along your brain and neck.

As it spreads its energy throughout the brain it increases your cognitive energy,

Mental clarity and it sparks inspiration and motivation.

Now it travels and reaches your chest.

Their light spreads throughout your lungs filling them with vitality,

Nourishing every breath with a renewed sense of life.

You feel breathing is fulfilling and effortless.

As the ball of light reaches the heart it inspires a calm heartbeat rhythm.

Now the ball moves further down to the stomach where it awakes the digestive system increasing your metabolism and bringing balance to your digestion.

Now the ball of energy reaches the liver and kidneys illuminating every cell revitalizing their vital functions of detoxification and filtration.

The ball of light moves to your intestines and increases the energy of the digestion process and of your immune system and its anti-inflammatory intelligence promoting a sense of health,

Harmony and regeneration.

The energy ball reaches its destination and sends energy to all your organs sending a wave of calmness to all your body leaving you feeling uplifted and invigorated.

Now you can let go and do nothing.

Feel and enjoy the energy moving through your body making your organs refreshed and strong.

Being okay with what you are experiencing is super liberating.

It gives you the chance to release tensions.

You have the ability to protect yourself,

Take care of yourself and to heal yourself.

Your vagus nerve is already sending the peaceful signs,

The signs that tells your brain and adrenal glands that it is no longer necessary to release cortisol and adrenaline.

The stress hormones can decrease and balance the stress hormones that protect your body from external elements.

Your body,

Your organs,

Your senses can work at its best when you are in a relaxed state.

Your energy is available to activate your immune system,

To activate internal protection intelligence.

Your body can now defend against viruses,

Bacteria,

Fungi,

Parasites and also abnormal or tumor cells.

It is safe to heal.

You have the ability to protect yourself internally and externally.

And to conclude this meditation,

Visualize yourself in your favorite place,

Healthy,

With a lot of energy,

Feeling incredible,

Doing the activities that you love to do without any discomfort,

Physical,

Emotional or spiritual.

And now I invite you to gently ease out of the meditation and slowly let go of the practice,

Coming into an awareness of your surroundings with your outside world.

Breathing gently and deeply,

Move slowly your feet,

Move your hands and gently open your eyes.

Congratulate yourself for this healing experience and may this healing energy expand throughout your day.
