Surrender after a tense day and give yourself the space to let go and sleep. If falling asleep is not easy for you, this meditation helps your body-mind rest, unwind your mind and relax while sleep happens. You'll go through different meditation stages: a deep-sigh breathing exercise to activate your parasympathetic nervous system–the one in charge of relaxation. A meditation and visualisation to calm overactive thoughts, and a relaxation method to let go, trust and allow sleep.

Welcome.

I want to invite you to find a comfortable position.

You can be laying on your bed,

Or you can be sitting down with your back straight and relaxed.

Take a gentle breath in,

And in the exhale let go all the tensions and concerns of the day.

Now,

If you can,

Through your nose,

Breathe two short breaths in,

And one long gentle breath out.

Two breaths in,

And one gentle breath out.

Two breaths in,

And one gentle breath out.

Now,

Breathe in your natural rhythm.

In this meditation,

Allow yourself to fall asleep in any moment.

As we begin,

If there is any thought that reappears of things that you have to do,

Just thank your brain,

And imagine you make a mental image of a folder,

And you save that information in that folder for tomorrow.

And you tell your unconscious mind you will have a look at it tomorrow.

You can even tell it the time you will look at it tomorrow.

You can close the folder and save it.

If for you it's not easy to fall asleep,

You can just stay on your bed,

Listening and resting.

You can tell yourself,

I don't need to sleep.

I can just lay here in my bed and rest,

Until sleep happens by itself.

You can tell yourself,

Just by laying here,

My body is recharging.

Even if I don't sleep,

My mind is recharging.

It's okay to just lay here.

It's okay to just be here.

There's nothing to do,

Nothing to achieve at this moment,

No one to become.

Nowhere else to go.

Now it's my body's turn to rest.

Now it's my mind's turn to rest.

Now let your heart be as it is.

Let your breathing be as it is.

Let your body be as it is.

Let your mind be as it is.

Now it's my body's turn to recharge.

Now it's my mind's turn to recharge.

Now I can let the bed hold my body.

I can let go of holding myself.

I can let go of tensions on my body.

Now I can let my skin hold my bones.

I can let go of holding myself.

I can let go of tensions on my skin.

Now I can let my bones hold my muscles.

I can trust and let go of tensions on my muscles.

I can let go of tensions on my neck and shoulders.

I can let go of tensions on my mouth and jaw.

I can let go of tensions on my eyes and forehead.

I can let go of tensions on my legs and arms.

Now I can let my muscles hold my organs.

I can let go of tensions on my organs.

I can let go of tensions on my stomach.

I can let go of tensions on my gut.

I can let go of tensions on my heart.

I can let go of tensions on my lungs.

I can trust and let them flow and function naturally.

I can let go of tensions on my body.

I can let go of tensions on my body.

Now there's nothing to do.

Nothing to achieve.

No one to become.

Nowhere else to go.

It's my body's turn to rest.

It's my mind's turn to rest.

If there's any thought that reappears,

Thank your brain.

And imagine a folder and you save that thought in that folder for tomorrow.

And you tell your unconscious mind you will have a look at it tomorrow.

If more thoughts come,

Let them pass.

It's okay.

It's your body's turn to rest.

It's your mind's turn to rest.

Let your body be as it is.

Let your heart be as it is.

Let your mind be as it is.

You can just feel your body floating.

Let it rest.

You can trust your body to rest.

And your spirit to fly.
