Step into one of the Twelve Holy Nights with a gentle nightly ritual of reflection, release, and quiet inner magic. You’re guided through a simple, sacred sequence: lighting a candle (real or imagined), opening the space with incense, herbs, or intention, chanting Asato mā sadgamaya, and offering one folded wish to the flame — unopened — so the universe may take care of its unfolding. If you like, prepare a candle, incense or herbs, a fireproof bowl, and your box with the 13 folded wishes — but everything can also be done in your imagination. We close with three soft repetitions of the mantra — a blessing for clarity, guidance, and inner light through these nights between the years. Whether you join for one Rauhnight or for all twelve, this ritual supports release and reconnection with your inner light. If you haven’t yet written your 13 wishes, you can begin with the "Winter Solstice Ritual – Asato mā sadgamaya & 13 Wishes" track as a gentle preparation. With love, Monika

Welcome beautiful soul.

Thank you for joining this daily Raonite ritual.

A gentle sacred space of reflection,

Release and quiet inner magic.

You can do this ritual anytime but its power unfolds most deeply between December 25th and January 5th.

These tender nights between the years.

Before we begin,

Take a moment to gather everything you may want beside you.

Your candle or small flame,

Incense,

Herbs or simply the imagination of their scent.

A fireproof bowl,

Your box with your wishes and anything that brings comfort.

A blanket,

A warm shawl or a cup of tea.

Each night during the holy nights we light the candle,

Cleanse the space with light,

Smoke or intention.

Arrive through mantra and sound and offer one folded wish to the flame unopened so the universe may take care of its unfolding.

Tonight we follow the same gentle pathway.

We open the space with light and scent.

Chant Asatoma Sad Gamaya and offer one of our wishes into the flame and then close with three more repetitions of the mantra together.

A blessing for clarity,

Guidance and inner light.

When you're ready,

Take a soft breath in and a long breath out,

Letting your whole being settle into this moment.

If you have a candle,

You might light it now or simply imagine its flame.

Watch how the light appears,

Soft,

Warm,

Steady.

Let it become the center of tonight's ritual.

If you have incense or herbs,

You may light them now as well or visualize a gentle fragrance rising around you.

For these nights,

Many people feel drawn to resins or herbs like frankincense for clarity,

Myrrh for grounding,

Rosemary for protection,

Pine resin for purification or mugwort for intuition.

But follow whatever feels right to you.

Even an imagined scent can open the space.

Watch the smoke rising,

Real or imagined,

A thin silver thread lifting your intention into the night.

As the fragrance surrounds you,

Whisper inwardly,

I am entering the holy nights.

I am ready to release.

I am ready to receive.

Once more,

I am entering the holy nights.

I am ready to release.

I am ready to receive.

Now find a comfortable position,

Steady,

Open,

Effortless.

You may place a hand on your chest and connect with your heart space.

Feel the soft touch of your hand,

Feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath and allow your whole body to settle into this moment.

Notice the fragrance around you and on your next exhale,

Gently close your eyes.

From this centered place,

Let's chant three rounds of the asatoma mantra,

A limitation into freedom.

The words of the mantra and the literal translation are asatoma sad gamaya,

Lead me from untruth to truth.

Tamasoma chyotir gamaya,

Lead me from darkness to light.

Drityorma amritam gamaya,

Lead me from death to immortality.

I'll sing each line first and then we repeat together in a simple Vedic style.

Feel the after vibration resting gently inside your chest.

A quiet pulse,

A subtle radiance.

This is the doorway between sound and silence,

Between chanting and listening.

Stay in this doorway for a breath or two and let the resonance guide you into what comes next.

Beautiful.

Now we turn toward the heart of this nightly ritual.

Take your box with your wishes.

Hold it gently in your hands.

Feel its lightness and at the same time the quiet hope it carries.

Each night of the Rao nights,

The holy nights,

We offer one folded card to the flame.

Real or imagined,

Unopened,

Unread,

Trusting that its path will unfold without our interference.

When you're ready,

Choose one wish from the box.

Hold the folded card between your palms as if you were holding a seed of possibility.

Take a soft breath in.

And as you exhale,

Feel the wish warming in your hands.

Whisper softly,

May this wish be received.

May it find its way.

May its path unfold in its own perfect time.

When you're ready,

Bring the card toward the flame physically or in your inner vision.

Watch it catch the fire,

Soften,

Curl,

Transform.

Let the flame take what no longer belongs to you and carry the essence of the wish forward.

As it burns,

Whisper softly,

I release this wish.

I trust its unfolding.

I release this wish.

I trust its unfolding.

I release this wish.

I trust its unfolding.

If you are using a real flame,

Place the ashes gently into your bowl.

You can return them to the earth later when the moment feels right.

To close this ritual,

Let's chant the asatoma mantra again.

As a blessing for clarity,

Guidance and inner light.

We will chant the mantra in a gentle,

Melodic way.

You may join in whenever you feel ready or simply receive the sound.

We will chant it three times.

Continue to rest inside your heart.

Steadily.

May this light guide you.

May clarity hold you.

May peace walk beside you through this night and into the new day.

Namaste.
