Welcome to this time for you.

Wherever you are physically and wherever this is in your day,

Notice what you might be carrying with you.

A thought,

A leftover experience,

Thinking about what's waiting for you after you listen for these next few minutes.

And imagine putting it aside on a table.

You can come back to it later if you'd like,

But without any attention on it just for now.

And for now,

Everything you need to do is done.

The surface that you're standing,

Sitting,

Or laying on rose up to meet you.

And the body knows what to do here.

Invite the mind.

What would allow you to be here one percent more?

Supporting yourself for this stillness break,

For the body and mind to take a pause.

And what is the kindest posture you can find for your body at this time?

Tune in to what you may need and allow yourself to arrive.

Wherever you are,

Orient into the space using your senses.

Perhaps there's something that you're aware of that you can smell,

Hear,

A residual taste in the mouth,

Something you feel or see.

Sense the width of the space and the depth of the space that you're in.

Space in front of you and the space behind you,

The space above you and below you,

And the space to the right of you and the left of you.

Allow your eyes to rest.

Softening what you're looking at so the eye muscles don't have to work right now or consider allowing them to close.

Top lid barely touching the bottom lid.

Top lip resting on the lower lip.

And the tongue and the teeth resting in the mouth.

If you notice your mind wandering,

It's doing its job.

You don't have to chase after the thoughts.

Or push them away.

Allow them to come and go.

Face softening.

The skin on the cheeks softening.

The hinge of the jaw releasing.

Neck and shoulders letting go of any holding.

As the shoulder blades melt down the back body,

Arms,

Hands,

Fingers all softening.

Internal organs all at rest inside the body and functioning optimally.

The hips and pelvis,

Legs and feet all softening.

Whole body soft.

Now imagine a blanket covering you.

Covering you.

Draped over your belly.

Draped over your feet.

Or perhaps from the feet all the way up to the shoulders.

A heavy or light blanket.

A warm or cool blanket.

A weighted blanket.

Whatever blanket would feel nourishing for you.

Settling the body to be held here.

Resting here.

Sensing aliveness of the body while at rest.

Resting here,

Breathing in the aliveness of this moment.

The body breathing itself.
