Hello and welcome to this emotional freedom technique and yoga nidra meditation.

Today we're going to be focused on the energy of the third chakra,

The solar plexus or Manipura in Sanskrit.

This chakra is a powerful energy center.

It exists on the front body right in the space where the ribs meet above the belly button.

This chakra governs willpower,

Motivation,

And powers of transformation.

Physically it connects to the gallbladder,

Stomach,

And liver.

These are all vital in converting food to energy.

This area is also very susceptible to stress and we often feel this as tension in the diaphragm area.

When the solar plexus is out of alignment we see ailments like digestive issues,

Diabetes,

IBS,

And even indigestion or heartburn stem from imbalances in Manipura or the solar plexus chakra.

To begin we'll be starting with our tapping,

Our emotional freedom technique.

Because we'll be eventually laying down to practice our yoga nidra after tapping,

It might feel more comfortable for you to go ahead and get into a laying down position.

As I've directed in earlier recordings,

If you need to pause,

Go ahead.

Gather any pillows or blankets that you might need and come back to the recording when you're set and cocooned in your space.

But as you lie down,

Work to arrange your body in a symmetrical manner,

Maybe allowing your arms to be free from any blankets or pillows.

And beginning to tap,

We'll be starting by tapping on the karate chop point,

The space between your pinky finger knuckle and your wrist.

Tapping on either hand with either hand using two fingers.

It's tapping slowly.

Let's take a deep breath.

Inhale and exhale.

Tapping on the outside of the hand.

I'll be reading out a few sentences and if they resonate with your experience and your general feelings of imbalance when it comes to willpower and sense of self,

Then go ahead and repeat these sentences back to yourself as you tap.

If I read through anything that just does not fit into your experience,

Feel free to skip over it or even possibly deciding on something else to repeat in its place that is more true to your experience.

Continuing to tap on the outside of the hand.

I doubt my power.

I doubt my power.

It is hard for me to shine and be heard.

It is hard for me to shine and be heard.

I play small to fit in with the crowd.

I play small to fit in with the crowd.

I do not trust my willpower.

I do not trust my willpower.

I do not feel strong enough to make changes in myself or in the world.

I do not feel strong enough to make changes in myself or the world.

I often suppress my strength and hold back.

I often suppress my strength and hold back.

I don't feel deserving of my own power and light.

I don't feel deserving of my own power and light.

I feel so much tightness and restriction,

It's difficult to feel motivated.

I feel so much tightness and restriction,

It's difficult to feel motivated.

Relax your arms.

Take another deep breath in and out.

Easy breaths.

Again,

Beginning to tap on the outside of the hand.

I doubt my own power.

I doubt my own power.

Move your tapping to the inside of either eyebrow.

It is hard for me to shine and be heard.

It is hard for me to shine and be heard.

Moving your tapping to the outside of the eye.

I play small to fit in with the crowd.

I play small to fit in with the crowd.

Tapping underneath your eye.

I do not trust my willpower.

I do not trust my willpower.

Under the nose.

I do not feel strong enough to make changes in myself or in the world.

I do not feel strong enough to make changes in myself or the world.

Chin.

I often suppress my strength and hold back.

I often suppress my strength and hold back.

Collarbone.

I don't feel deserving of my own power and light.

I don't feel deserving of my own power and light.

Underneath the arm.

I feel so much tightness and restriction,

It's difficult to feel motivated.

I feel so much tightness and restriction,

It's difficult to feel motivated.

Crown of the head.

It feels impossible to let go of control.

It feels impossible to let go of control.

And again,

Taking a breath.

Inhaling deeply through the nose.

Exhaling fully through the nose.

And now we'll be opening our minds up to the possibility of something feeling a little bit different.

Opening our minds up to hope of the alternative possibilities to these somewhat negative aspects that we've already validated.

So again,

Tapping on the outside of the hand.

I doubt my own power,

But I am open to feeling another way.

I doubt my own power,

But I am open to feeling another way.

Tapping on the inside of the eyebrow.

It is hard for me to shine and be heard,

But I am open to feeling another way.

It is hard for me to shine and be heard,

But I am open to feeling another way.

Outside of the eye.

I play small to fit in with the crowd,

But I am open to being another way.

I play small to fit in with the crowd,

But I am open to feeling another way.

Under the eye.

I do not trust my willpower,

But I am open to feeling another way.

I do not trust my willpower,

But I am open to feeling another way.

Top lip.

I do not feel strong enough to make changes in myself or the world,

But I am open to being another way.

I do not feel strong enough to make changes in my life or the world,

But I am open to feeling another way.

Chin.

I often suppress my strength and hold back,

But I am open to feeling another way.

I often suppress my strength and hold back,

But I am open to feeling another way.

Tapping on the collarbone.

I do not feel deserving of my own power and light,

But I am open to feeling another way.

I do not feel deserving of my own power or light,

But I am open to feeling another way.

Tapping under the arm.

I feel so much tightness and restriction,

It's difficult for me to feel motivated,

But I am open to feeling another way.

I feel so much tightness and restriction,

It's difficult to feel motivated,

But I am open to feeling another way.

Crown of the head.

It feels impossible to let go of control,

But I am open to feeling another way.

It feels impossible to let go of control,

But I'm open to feeling another way.

And again,

Relax your body,

Relax your mind,

Take a deep breath in and a full and conscious breath out.

This will be our last round of tapping and we'll be affirming the positive.

So beginning to tap on the karate chop point on either hand,

Saying to yourself,

I am powerful.

I am powerful.

The inside of the eyebrow.

My essence is meant to be shared and heard.

My essence is meant to be shared and heard.

Outside of the eye.

I am not afraid to stand out.

I am not afraid to stand out.

Under the eye.

I am strong in body and mind.

I am strong in body and mind.

Top lip.

I can make changes I desire in myself and in the world.

I can make the changes I desire in myself and in the world.

Chin.

I do not hold myself back from showing strength.

I do not hold myself back from showing strength.

Collarbone.

I deserve all of the power I contain.

I deserve all of the power I contain.

Under the arm.

I move freely through the world and accomplish my dreams with ease.

I move freely through the world and accomplish my dreams with ease.

Crown of the head.

I trust the world and the universe to guide and support me.

I trust the world and the universe to guide and support me.

So again,

Relaxing.

Take another big deep breath in and a complete exhale out.

Easy breaths and beginning to resign yourself to Yoganidra.

Committing to stillness.

Finding a comfortable and symmetrical posture laying on the floor.

Using any blankets,

Bolsters,

Pillows that you like for support or comfort.

Closing the eyes down.

Relaxing the hands and beginning to tune into your intention,

Your sankalpa for this practice.

And today,

On our mission to grow and balance the power of the solar plexus chakra,

We'll be using the sankalpa,

The intention,

I am powerful.

I am powerful.

Really sinking into the emotional experience of being and feeling like a powerful and effective human.

Motivated and strong.

See this future and higher version of yourself moving through the world with power,

With ease.

How do they walk?

How do they stand?

What tone of voice do they use when they speak to others?

How do they speak to themselves?

Really immersing yourself in the emotional experience of being a powerful human,

An effective being.

Marinating in the experience.

Repeating your sankalpa back to yourself a few more times.

I am powerful.

I am powerful.

And let it go.

Drop it into the still waters of your unconscious.

Trusting this intention to grow in the light of your awareness and beginning to move through our body scan.

Move all of your focus and awareness into the thumb on the right hand.

Let the thumb be effortless.

Feel your right pointer finger.

Effortless.

Middle.

Effortless.

Ring.

Right pinky.

Feel the palm of the right hand.

Wrist.

Right forearm.

Elbow.

Upper arm.

Feel the top of the right shoulder.

The right side of the chest.

Feel your right armpit.

Right ribcage.

Feel the inner edge of your right ribcage.

Flowing all the way down to the right waist.

Thighbone.

The circumference of your right knee.

Low leg.

Ankle.

Feel the top of the right foot.

Right big toe.

Second toe.

Third.

Fourth.

And fifth toe.

Feel the center of the sole of the right foot.

Expand your awareness into just the right side of the body.

As if the left side did not exist.

Just the right side.

Move your awareness into your left hand thumb.

Let it be effortless.

Pointer finger.

Effortless.

Middle.

Ring.

Left pinky.

Palm.

Wrist.

Forearm.

Left elbow.

Upper arm bone.

Top of the left shoulder.

Collarbone.

Armpit.

Left ribcage.

Feel the inner edge of your left ribcage.

Leading all the way down to the left waist.

Hipbone.

Thigh.

The circumference of the left knee.

Low leg.

Left ankle.

Top of the foot.

Left big toe.

Second toe.

Third.

Fourth.

And fifth toe.

Feel the center of the sole of your left foot.

Now expanding your awareness into just the left side of the body.

As if the right side did not exist.

Just the left side.

Now become aware of both big toes.

The pelvic floor.

Belly button.

The space where your ribs meet.

Heart center.

Face of the throat.

Center of the brow.

And the crown of the head.

Feel your whole body resting on the earth.

Head to toe.

Thumb to thumb.

Whole body.

And if you'd like to slip off to sleep in this moment,

Go ahead.

Or you can stop the recording and carry on with the rest of your day.
