This is Mashaia Kroot and welcome to this short guided meditation.

I'll be taking you through the practice of yoga nidra.

And today we'll be focused on remembering your divinity.

So find a comfortable position.

Lay down on the floor,

Hopefully a firm surface.

And extend the legs long.

Reach the fingertips overhead and take a full body stretch.

And relax down into the floor.

Bring your arms down by your sides,

Palms facing up towards the ceiling or sky.

If you'd like to put a bolster underneath your knees,

This can relieve some tension in the lower back.

But start to settle in.

And do your best to find symmetry on both sides of the body.

Allow the toes to fall out to the side.

Opening the hips.

If you haven't already,

Turn the palms up.

Opening the shoulders.

And allow the larger muscle groups,

Your legs and arms,

To really detach from the bone and sink into the gravity of whatever surface you're lying on.

And make any final adjustments to your position.

Any small movements that you might need to feel comfortable.

And then close the eyes and surrender to stillness.

And start to watch the breath.

And rather than engaging in the activity of breathing,

Imagine that you are yourself being breathed by the atmosphere,

By the universe.

So that your inhale is that entity's exhale.

And your exhale is inhale.

So completely depart from all sense of doing.

And do your best to settle into being,

Into your innate and native self.

We are such busy beings.

And a lot of times we engage in these busy activities to distract ourselves from the inner work.

From the being,

The sitting with oneself that results in growth.

At least of the spiritual kind.

So allow yourself to completely depart from that busyness.

And slip into your true nature.

Your blueprint.

The design of your soul.

Generations and generations old.

And start to toy with the idea of a resolve or intention for your practice.

And allow it to be your becoming.

The thing that you want most to be a part of your life.

Whether you wish to engage in a different way of being.

Such as maybe being more well rested than being busy or staying up too late.

And formulate your sankalpa,

Your sacred vow.

Imagine as you create this vow that it is something that already exists in your life.

So realistically we're thinking about something we want to grow into.

But at the same time we're imagining viscerally,

Sensationally what it would be like.

The emotions that we would feel,

The thoughts we would have,

The way we would move.

If that becoming,

If this intention were to come to fruition.

So formulate your sankalpa.

It starts with the words,

I am.

And perhaps for this practice decide on a vow that will reflect what you know to be your true nature.

So maybe I am open.

I am wise.

I am fulfilled.

Whatever your intention,

Whatever your truth may be.

Formulate the sentence and repeat it back to yourself.

Three times.

Really sinking in to your imagination of what it would really feel like to live this truth.

Feel it in your bones.

Feel it pumping through your veins.

And let it go.

Continuing to stay perfectly still,

I will take you now through the rotation of consciousness.

I'll be calling parts of the body in rapid succession.

And you'll simply bring your awareness or light up the muscle or point in the body as I call them out.

The practice starts with a thumb on the right hand.

So maybe imagine a little light bulb on the tip of your right hand thumb and light it up.

Right pointer finger.

Let's put that little light on right middle ring pinky roots of the fingers on the right hand.

Back of the right hand.

Center of the palm.

Right wrist.

Forearm.

Elbow.

Upper arm.

Top of the right shoulder.

Right side of the chest.

Ribs.

Belly.

Right hip point.

Glute.

Top of the right thigh.

Knee cap.

Chin.

Back of the knee.

Right calf.

Ankle.

Top of the right foot.

Right big toe.

Second.

Third.

Fourth.

And fifth toe.

Feel the roots of the toes.

And then feel into the center of the sole of your foot.

In your mind's eye,

Isolate your attention to only the right side of the body.

Just the right side.

Moving the practice to the left side.

Start with the left hand thumb.

Turning on that little light bulb.

Moving to the pointer finger.

Middle finger.

Ring.

Pinky.

Roots of the fingers on the left hand.

Back of the left hand.

Center of the palm.

Left wrist.

Forearm.

Elbow.

Upper arm.

Top of the left shoulder.

Left side of the chest.

Ribs.

Abdomen.

Left hip point.

Left glute.

Left thigh.

Back of the left thigh.

Knee cap.

Chin.

Left calf.

Ankle.

Top of the left foot.

Left big toe.

Second toe.

Third.

Fourth.

And baby toe.

Feel into the center of the sole of the left foot.

And then isolate your attention to only the left side of the body.

Just the left side.

And zipping up the two halves.

Pull your attention into both heels.

Both glutes.

Both shoulder blades.

And the back of the head.

All resting on the firm surface.

Holding the body.

The whole body.

Imagine your whole body lying on the ground.

Whole body.

And gather your awareness.

The space between the brows.

Third eye center.

This is our warehouse of intuition.

And if you feel into the center of the brows.

And then the back of the head resting on the ground.

Find the center between these two points in the midbrain.

Let's hear that the pineal gland exists.

Sometimes called the God gland.

This is the source of those butterflies,

Of those gut feelings.

It's the culmination of all of our sensory awareness.

A bouquet of everything we are experiencing.

It takes very little effort.

For us to come to the space of intuition.

Really,

All that's necessary is trusting.

Trusting ourselves.

Trusting that we are wise.

Trusting that the blueprint of our soul has a plan.

And all we need to do is remember.

Remember our foundations.

Remember what makes us feel safe and secure.

Remember how to properly digest our emotions.

Remember how to open our heart and speak our truth.

We just need to remember that we are wise.

And allow ourselves to see with this third eye.

Trusting into the bodily sensations.

The sensory feedback that we get in every minute of every day.

Guides us to our true nature.

Continue to pull your attention to the space between the brows.

Allow the eyes to sink into the back of the head.

Bring your awareness to the bridge of the nose.

And then allow your attention to wash in opposite directions across your sinuses.

Allow the jaw to hang from the hinge.

And the tongue floats to the roof of the mouth.

Lips part.

And feel into the face of the throat.

And allow there to be space between the jawbone and the collarbone.

As your shoulders melt further into gravity.

Allow yourself to feel incredibly heavy.

All of your bones sinking to the back of the body anchoring you to the mat floor.

Then alternatively inspire a feeling of lightness.

As if you might float,

Levitate from the ground.

Then come back to the experience of heaviness.

Allowing your tissues and fibers to liquefy.

Once again,

Feel that alternate sensation of lightness.

Imagine your composure to be that of a cloud floating away from the surface of the floor.

And call to mind one more time that feeling of heaviness.

And allow yourself to sink into the back body and revel in the safety of the seat of the soul.

And bring to mind a point in time where you were lied to.

You were either told something untrue purposefully.

Or were led to believe something for a long time that was untrue.

And feel what that feels like in your body.

What it feels like to be lied to.

What it feels like to know that something is not true,

Is not real.

And try and locate the space in your body where this motion arises.

Then alternatively call to mind the truest thing you know.

Is it your love for something?

Is it someone else's love for you?

Is it a law of nature?

A wisdom teaching that you know beyond a doubt within your being to be true?

And feel how that feels in the body.

And try and locate the physical space in which this feeling arises.

And once more revisit the feeling of being lied to,

Falsehood.

And then come back into the space of truth.

Allow yourself to feel into the space in your body where truth lives.

And as if the space were contagious.

Allow it to bubble into the other cells and spaces of your body.

And allow that energy to move from whatever location it arises and flood every part of your being.

Maybe even allowing it to flood the space around you in which your energy occupies.

Maybe see how far you can bubble up that sense of truth.

Can you fill up the room?

Can it spill out the windows?

Roll down the street?

Fill up the city.

.

And rest deeply into this awareness of truth.

Begin to ignite your awareness back into the physical plane.

Maybe wiggle the fingers or toes.

When you're ready,

Return to that full body stretch.

Relax down into the ground for another moment.

Maybe blinking the eyes open.

If it feels good,

Roll over onto one side of the body and pause in the fetal position.

And in your own time and in your own way,

Come to seated and carry on with the rest of your day in truth.

Thank you so much for tuning in.

Namaste.
