Hello and welcome to this Emotional Freedom Technique and Yoga Nidra meditation session focused on the health of the heart chakra.
The heart chakra is often referred to as the bridge as it bridges the material and spiritual realms and also the lower and upper chakras.
The heart chakra governs our profound love especially self-love.
It's the key to empathy and compassion and connects us to the universe and our true self.
Misalignment in the heart chakra can indicate self-neglect or difficulty in accepting love.
Healing the heart chakra helps us reconnect with our genuine self and offers healing from past traumas.
To begin our meditation we will start with tapping but because we're going to transition into a Yoga Nidra practice,
Go ahead and get yourself comfortable.
Laying down on your back,
Getting any props,
Pillows,
Bolsters,
Blankets,
Even a heating pad if that feels good and start to settle into your little Yoga Nidra cocoon,
Pausing the audio if you need time to gather your supplies and allow your arms to be free so that you can access your different tapping points and beginning to tap on the karate chop point,
The space in between your wrist and your pinky finger knuckle on either hand and using either hand to tap as well.
And for our first round we'll be acknowledging the sort of negative experience,
The negative feelings that can come along with a closed or an imbalanced heart chakra.
Validating our experience,
Tapping to relax our fear response to these negative emotions,
Validating and digesting them as we tap.
So tapping on the karate chop point,
My heart feels closed off,
My heart feels closed off.
Continuing on the karate chop point,
I don't feel like I have the right to love myself or others.
I don't feel like I have the right to love myself or others.
Caring feels dangerous.
Caring feels dangerous.
I guard my heart at all costs.
I guard my heart at all costs.
Continuing to tap on the karate chop point,
I hold on to grudges and resentment.
I hold on to grudges and resentment.
Forgiveness feels dangerous.
Forgiveness feels dangerous.
I fear rejection and being alone.
I fear rejection and being alone.
Past wounds keep me from loving freely.
Past wounds keep me from loving freely.
I am so judgmental of myself and others.
I am so judgmental of myself and others.
And taking a deep cleansing breath in and out and beginning another round of tapping,
We'll be using the same script but migrating through different points of tapping.
So beginning to tap on the karate chop point again,
My heart feels closed off,
My heart feels closed off.
Moving to the inside of the eyebrow,
I don't feel like I have the right to love myself or others.
I don't feel like I have the right to love myself or others.
Outside of the eye,
Caring feels dangerous.
Caring feels dangerous.
Under the eye,
I guard my heart at all costs.

Top lip,
I hold on to grudges and resentment.

Chin,
Forgiveness feels dangerous.

Collarbone,
I fear rejection and being alone.
I fear rejection and being alone.
Under the arm,
Past wounds keep me from loving freely.
Past wounds keep me from loving freely.
And crown of the head,
I am so judgmental of myself and others.
I am so judgmental of myself and others.
And again,
Pausing,
Tapping,
Taking your deep breath in and full exhale.
And now we're going to tap through the same points,
But opening our minds up to the option feeling and behaving in a different way.
So again,
Tapping on the outside of the hand,
The karate chop point.
My heart feels closed off,
But I am open to feeling another way.
My heart feels closed off,
But I am open to feeling another way.
Inside of the eyebrow,
I don't feel like I have the right to love myself or others,
But I am open to feeling another way.
I don't feel like I have the right to love myself or others,
But I am open to feeling another way.
Outside of the eye,
Caring feels dangerous.

Under the eye,
I guard my heart at all costs,
But I am open to feeling another way.

But I am open to feeling another way.
Top lip,
I hold on to grudges and resentment,
But I am open to being another way.

But I am open to being another way.
Chin,
Forgiveness feels dangerous,
But I am open to feeling another way.

But I am open to feeling another way.
Collarbone,
I fear rejection and being alone,
But I am open to feeling another way.
I fear rejection and being alone,
But I am open to feeling another way.
Under the arm,
Past wounds keep me from loving freely,
But I am open to being another way.
Past wounds keep me from loving freely,
But I am open to being another way.
Crown of the head,
I am so judgmental of myself and others,
But I am open to being another way.
I am so judgmental of myself and others,
But I am open to being another way.
And again,
Taking a break from tapping,
Take a deep inhale,
Full exhale.
And now we'll be affirming the positive,
Tapping through the same points,
Starting with the karate chop point.
I live with an open heart.
I live with an open heart inside of the eyebrow.
I have the right to love and be loved.
I have the right to love and be loved outside of the eye.
I have the right to care and engage with my passions.
I have the right to care and engage with my passions.
Under the eye,
I release my fear of vulnerability.
I release my fear of vulnerability.
Top lip,
I forgive myself for acting out of fear.
I forgive myself for acting out of fear.
Chin,
Forgiveness is vital and I give it freely to myself and others.
Forgiveness is vital and I give it freely to myself and others.
Collarbone,
I release my fear of rejection and isolation.
I release my fear of rejection and isolation.
Under the arm,
I no longer allow fear to rule my heart.
I no longer allow fear to rule my heart.
And crown of the head,
I am gentle and compassionate with myself and others.
I am gentle and compassionate with myself and others.
Again,
Pause your tapping,
Taking your deep inhale and full exhale.
And just notice how you're feeling in this moment.
What shifted in your bones after going through that tapping sequence?
Does your chest feel a little bit lighter?
Does your body feel a little bit heavier?
Do you feel more grounded and connected to your essential self?
And maybe you'd like to tuck your arms underneath any blankets you're using.
Setting up for deep comfort during our yoga nidra session.
Doing your best to bring symmetry to the body,
Allowing your palms to turn up towards the ceiling and your feet to splay out to the sides.
And really start to feel into your heart center and begin to hear your intention,
Your sankalpa echoing through your bones.
And today using a sankalpa related to the heart chakra.
Perhaps you use the words,
I am love,
I have the right to love,
Or maybe I have the right to care.
And really start to feel into the emotional experience of these words.
Beginning to imagine the future version of yourself,
Having stepped into the energy of this intention,
The energy of the sankalpa.
Observing how this future and higher version of yourself moves through the world.
How do they stand?
How do they walk through a room?
How do they engage with others?
How do they speak to themselves?
And beginning to embody that experience.
Feeling into what it must be like to move through the world with an open heart,
Without fear of abandonment or isolation.
Would you make different choices?
Would you forgive yourself and others?
Again,
Really connecting with the emotional experience of having a balanced and open heart chakra.
And let it go.
Dropping your sankalpa into the still waters of the unconscious.
Trusting it to grow in the light of your awareness.
And become aware of the boundaries of your body,
Where your skin meets the air or is in contact with your clothing or blankets.
Noticing your boundaries of self,
What belongs to you,
What belongs to other.
Feeling the boundaries of your own skin,
Of yourself,
Your physical body.
Then also as if there were energy radiating from your heart center.
Feel into the boundaries of your heart,
The extension of your heart's energy.
Allowing it to expand further than your skin.
Feeling the pulsing,
The beating of your heart extending out through your skin and into your surrounding field of energy.
Notice how far out from yourself,
Your energy of your heart extends.
Reaching,
Expanding that energy as much as possible.
And now calling your energy back.
Feeling the beating of your heart within the boundaries of your skin.
And now move your awareness into the thumb on the right hand.
Feeling the beating of your heart in the tip of your right thumb.
Letting the thumb be effortless and soft.
Move your awareness into the right pointer finger.
Again,
Feeling the beating of your heart in the tip of the right pointer finger.
Swim your energy into the middle finger.
Again,
Feeling the beating of the heart in the tip of the finger.
Ring finger,
Right pinky.
Feel the center of your right palm.
See if you can feel the beating of your heart within the palm.

Right bicep.
Feel the top of the right shoulder,
The right side of the chest,
Ribs,

See if you can feel the beating of your heart in your right big toe,
Second toe,
Third,
Fourth,
And fifth toe.
See if you can feel your pulse in the bottom of the right foot.
Feeling into the center of the sole of the right foot.
And then expanding your awareness into just the right side of the body.
Just the right side.
And now moving your awareness into the left hand thumb.
Again,
See if you can feel your heartbeat in the tip of the left thumb.
Swim the energy into the pointer finger,
Left middle finger,
Ring,
Pinky.
Feel your heartbeat in the center of your left palm.
Wrist,
Forearm,
Elbow,
Bicep,
Left tricep.
Feel the top of the left shoulder,
The left side of the chest.
Feeling the heart beating here as well.
Left ribcage,
Waist,
Hip,
Thighbone,
The back of the left knee,
Lower left leg.
Feel your left ankle,
Top of the foot.
See if you can feel your heartbeat in your left big toe,
Second toe,
Third,
Fourth,
And fifth toe.
Feel the beating of your heart in the sole of your left foot.
Feeling deeply into the center of the sole of the left foot.
And now expanding your awareness to just the left side of the body.
Just the left side.
And now becoming aware of both big toes,
The pelvic floor.
Feel your belly button,
The space where your ribcage meets on the front body.
Become aware of your heart center,
The face of the throat,
Center of the brow,
And crown of the head.
Feel your whole body resting on the earth.
Head to toe,
Whole body.
And we're now at the point in the meditation where you can either slip off to sleep or carry on with the rest of your day.
