In this meditation, you’ll lovingly tend to the parts of yourself that don’t feel enough or struggle to belong. Because to feel worthy, we don’t need to work harder, change, or be better—we simply need to attune to our most tender parts and learn to hold them. In the second half of the meditation, a poem gently opens your eyes to your innate worthiness, holding you in this deeply human moment. Hi,

I'm Miriam Amavi and this is a meditation for when you don't feel like you're enough.

And I invite you to just get comfortable,

Perhaps wrap yourself in a blanket and get really cozy and take a deep breath if that feels good and just arrive here with yourself.

Acknowledging all that you're currently going through because being a human is not always easy.

Living in a world in which we are constantly comparing ourselves is not easy and feeling like you're never doing enough is also not easy.

So allow yourself to meet yourself in this human moment.

Perhaps your hands land on your heart or maybe you wrap your arms around yourself and feel the surface that you are currently sitting on and how it's holding you.

Maybe you start to sway from side to side,

Soothing your nervous system in this moment.

Giving yourself the sense of safety and simply holding yourself for now.

And notice what it feels like in your body to just hold yourself for a minute without expecting anything from yourself.

And allow yourself to just be.

Maybe you notice that part of you that doesn't feel like it belongs.

Feels like it doesn't belong in this world,

Your job,

With your friends.

Whatever it is,

Notice the part in you that just doesn't feel like you're enough.

It may feel like you're not lovable or that just parts of you are okay and lovable but not all of you.

Notice the part that may feel like you need to change or be more successful or better in order to be okay,

In order to be loved,

In order to be enough.

And see what happens when you meet this part,

This very,

Very human part of you with benevolence,

With generosity,

With understanding and curiosity.

Because feeling like you're not enough doesn't mean that anything is wrong with you.

It just means that this part needs a lot of attunement and gentle attention.

It just means that you are deeply human as we all are.

And if you like,

You can offer yourself some words like,

I am here with you.

I see you.

I hear you.

And you're not alone.

Continue to rock yourself from side to side,

Allowing yourself to really receive these words.

How can you feel like something is wrong with you when you were literally born as part of nature?

How can you feel like you're not enough?

When you're precisely embodying what life is.

Nature doesn't ask itself if it's okay the way it is.

A flower doesn't question whether she is allowed to bloom,

Nor wonders which color might best charm the others.

She simply blooms as she was always meant to.

And she blooms proudly.

Maybe it's her effortless certainty in her own being that makes her so irresistibly beautiful.

Maybe this is why we gift flowers to the people we love.

Because they reflect the beauty we see in them.

How perfect and worthy we perceive them.

A tiger that has just given birth doesn't question if her babies deserve to be cared for.

She just does it.

A dandelion doesn't retreat back into its seed when it encounters resistance.

It breaks through concrete.

You see,

Each part of nature unapologetically owns its place,

And has even found ways to defend it.

A rose has her thorns.

A tiger has its teeth.

Because they know they belong here,

Just like you do.

And dear one,

You are part of this system too.

Every moment,

You are held by the same space that holds all of nature's imperfect perfections.

The same space that carries the birdsong to your ears as spring awakens.

The same space that holds the sun that feeds us all.

The same space that is the source of all life.

The same space where both storms are raging and children are singing.

The same space in which somewhere a cat embarks on its comical little quest,

While a long-lost traveler returns home to the arms of his family.

The same space in which somewhere someone gets to hear I love you for the very first time.

If nature asked herself if she was enough,

She would wither,

Because all she needs to thrive is to simply be.

So if you were not enough,

My dear,

Would life have even chosen to bring you here?

Notice how this moment holds you,

How you are holding yourself.

And feel into your body how it feels now,

How you feel about yourself now.

Notice what happens when you see yourself through this really loving and generous lens.

And I invite you to bow to yourself.

It is so kind that you took the time to look inwards,

Care for yourself.

And you can take a couple of deep breaths if that feels good and slowly,

Slowly come back into the room.

In your own time,

Open your eyes.

Let your gaze dance around in your space.

And if you want to foster a more loving and generous relationship with yourself,

I invite you to do my course here on Inside Timer.

It's called The Gentle Art of Nurturing and Reparenting Yourself.

And if you specifically want to learn to support your nervous system,

You can also do my nervous system course here on Inside Timer.

I'm Miriam Amavi and I wish you a wonderful day.

Bye-bye.
