Gratitude meditation in this practice we're going to develop the positive mind of gratitude reflecting upon our good fortune being human and all the opportunities that come with our life our freedom,
Our health,
Our ability to understand,
Our ability to practice we have so many things in our life we can feel grateful for in this practice we're going to train in this way of thinking which is the direct antidote to the mind of depression so we begin our practice by becoming aware of where we are the sounds around us our body,
These sensations in our body and we make the intention for our training thinking we're training in mindfulness and meditation to bring peace and calm into our life and then to share this with all those around us just for a minute to help focus our mind we're going to observe the natural flow of the breath you you and then we contemplate our good fortune of being born human all the good opportunities that we have in our life our health,
Our freedom so many opportunities so much freedom in our existence our friends,
Family reflect upon our good conditions instead of focusing on what we haven't got we focus on all the things we have,
Our breath,
Our ability to focus and concentrate how fortunate we are and we try to generate the heartfelt feeling of gratitude a warm positive feeling happy in our life,
Happy with what we have try and cultivate this special feeling of gratitude and mix our mind with it for a short time feeling fortunate and if your mind wanders or becomes distracted then gently bring it back to this experience of gratitude if it gets completely distracted use the breath as an anchor to bring you back into the present moment and then start once again to cultivate this mind we spend a few minutes now meditating on gratitude you you you and just before we finish our practice we dedicate all the good energy we created to reflecting upon the mind of gratitude to world peace and the happiness of everyone throughout the world and we are going to be able to do that world peace and the happiness of everyone throughout the world and then gradually we bring our practice to a conclusion and open our eyes and during the meditation break we try to be mindful of the experience of gratitude we look out for all the things in our life to feel grateful our breath,
Our health,
Our freedom,
Our family,
Our friends the opportunities we have whenever negative thoughts,
Depressive thoughts arise we try to counteract them with the mind of gratitude in this way we can keep a calm,
Peaceful and happy mind
