To begin this meditation,

Find a comfortable spot sitting or lying down.

If you feel comfortable too,

Feel free to close down the eyes or turn the gaze toward the floor.

During the next few breaths,

Really allow this time to make yourself comfortable and safe in your space.

Take in a big inhale through the nose,

Expanding the diaphragm.

And as you exhale,

Relax the shoulders,

Release any tension from the face,

Feel the core relaxed.

Allow the arms to fall comfortably and the legs to sink firmly into the ground beneath you.

Notice the sensation of gravity keeping you grounded,

Secure and safe against the earth beneath you.

Come to this space and this space only.

You are here now to reflect and breathe.

And that is all you must do.

There are no other priorities more important than where you are now.

Become aware of the breath for the next few moments.

Notice how it feels to inhale and exhale.

If at any time you notice yourself getting lost in thought,

Thank your mind for creating them,

Let them disappear and come back to the breath.

For many years I have been looking back upon the past and my becoming a human member despite I now invite you to bring to mind a person,

Someone who has extended kindness and support toward you.

Someone who has your best interest in mind and who you have felt cared for and appreciated by.

Bring this one person to mind,

Imagining they were seated right in front of you.

They are looking into your eyes with warmth and kindness.

They acknowledge that they are very proud of everything you have accomplished and are working toward accomplishing.

They acknowledge that you have been through difficult situations and it is understandable that you feel the emotions you feel.

What you have experienced is hard and would be for anyone.

You have the right to feel the way that you do.

They express their fondness of you and how every situation you have experienced gives you the power to learn and grow.

Notice any feelings that appear in your body right now.

Then you notice this person leave your sight and is replaced by you.

You are now looking at a mirror image of yourself.

This other version of you is looking into your eyes with warmth and kindness.

They understand everything you have experienced and reassure you that your feelings are valid.

This other you leans in closer and says,

I accept you exactly the way you are.

I will treat you with kindness even during difficult times because you are worthy and deserving of it.

I feel unconditional love for you and always will.

Always remember that you are a growing human being that is learning every day.

No one has everything all figured out and you don't need to pressure yourself to have it all figured out.

You are you and I accept you fully and completely.

This person then leaves your sight as you are left alone.

Notice how you feel in your body right now.

Notice the breath,

Every inhale and exhale for the next few moments.

Notice the feeling of contact in the space around you.

Slowly begin to open the eyes into the space around you.
