Welcome to mindfulness with Sierra Today we're gonna be focused on nature and the beautiful rhythms and seasons and cycles of nature Right now I want us to take a deep breath in and out In order to ground ourselves in this moment and with the focus that we are about to have Currently I'm sitting right in front of a window looking out at a beautiful rainy day There are little water droplets on the leaves and branches in front of the window and the sound of the rain gently coming down is very relaxing and is almost a lullaby Wherever you are,

Even if you are not in nature,

I want you to close your eyes and imagine a place in nature that you were the most happy or connected to the nature around you and if you haven't felt that before I would love for you to imagine your perfect paradise that you've always dreamed of visiting.

This could be a beach or it could be a national park seeing mountains or sequoia trees around you or it could be flatlands,

Beautiful meadows with the wind undulating through the grasses.

I want you to choose that spot now and really ground yourself in that place.

What do you hear?

Maybe some birds singing or crashing of waves or the trickle of water going by in a stream.

Maybe it's wind coming through trees,

Leaves maybe falling.

Wherever that place is for you,

Listen closely.

What do you hear?

Take a deep breath in and out.

Now that we've grounded ourselves in the sounds of our nature spot,

Let's move to the smells.

Maybe you smell some blooming flowers nearby or maybe there's a fresh scent of water,

Maybe fishy.

Whatever you smell,

Ground yourself in that smell.

Take a deep breath in and out.

And now look around.

What do you see?

Maybe you see the flowers that you are smelling or you see the waves or the wind through the trees that you were hearing.

Maybe there are some little bunny rabbits nearby that are playing in the meadow.

Maybe you see a little crab dancing sideways if you're on the sand.

Or maybe you just see the birds that you heard a moment ago.

Whatever you're seeing,

Focus on the colors and the patterns and the textures of nature.

And ground yourself in your sight.

Let's take a deep breath in and out.

Now that we're grounded in sight,

Let's explore our touch.

Let's walk around and maybe touch the bark of the trees if you're near trees.

Maybe you're barefoot and your feet feel the grass beneath you.

Maybe some sand between your toes.

Maybe you want to stoop down and pick up a seashell or an acorn that is in your path.

Maybe you want to run your fingertips along some leaves to feel the texture or along the bark of the mother tree.

Whatever that touches for you,

Softness,

Hardness,

Bumpy,

Smooth.

Let's ground ourselves in that touch.

And let's come back to our grounding breath.

Breathe in and out.

And the last thing we're gonna do is we're gonna see if we can taste anything.

Maybe it's raining where you are and you're dancing in the rain and you want to open your mouth and taste the fresh raindrops on your tongue.

Maybe you see some honeysuckle and you want to taste this sweet honeysuckle or maybe some fresh raspberries.

Whatever is in your area.

See if you can taste anything.

To ground yourself in this moment and in this nature experience.

Let's go back to our grounding breath.

Breathe in for me.

And out.

Now that we have grounded all of our senses in this place,

I want you to close your eyes again in this place and feel your soul connecting to the nature around you.

Connecting to the other living souls of trees or animals or even just the wind as it brushes by you.

Feel those connections,

That energy ripple between you.

It's electric or gentle or soothing.

Nature connects us to all of these energies and these emotions and the more we ground ourselves in natural rhythms and cycles and seasons of nature,

As we used to do,

The more calm and relaxed and grounded in the world we will feel.

So come back to this if you need that feeling and you feel like you're starting to become unrooted or ungrounded in a moment or a season of your life.

And just remember that if you're able to,

Actually being in nature helps us connect so much more.

But if you're unable to,

Coming back to this mindfulness and this visualization can be just as helpful and just as grounding.

So I welcome you to open your eyes and become grounded again in your own environment,

Connected again to your own space.

And you can turn your neck if you want and stretch a little bit.

And let's take one final breath to ground us and pull all of that natural energy back into our present environment and our present moment.

So breathe in for me and breathe out.

And I hope you have an incredible rest of your day bringing these calming natural energies into each moment as often as we can.

Good luck.
