Begin by anchoring in your breath.
Notice your breath rising and falling like waves.
And with each breath out,
Start to soften into this moment.
Into your truer self.
Notice your whole body here.
Feel your whole body soften into gravity.
Using each breath out to let go of anything that came before.
And using each breath in to become a little more spacious,
A little more expansive and connected.
Feel that gentle push and pull of energy.
And now bring your awareness to your face.
Lightly resting your awareness on your face.
Again,
Use each exhalation as a tool to soften,
Releasing any tension behind your eyes.
Soften your jaw and the space behind your ears.
Soften your jaw and eyes again.
Imagine a warm washcloth on your face.
Allow your whole face to soften into this washcloth.
And the washcloth to soften into your face.
Now bring your attention to your throat.
Allow your throat to widen,
To expand.
Filling up the whole space of your neck.
Notice what happens when you start to just soften your face and your throat.
Now bringing your awareness down into your heart.
Noticing anything that's being held here.
Any tightness,
Fatigue,
Heartache,
Excitement,
Joy.
And softening any tension that's being held here.
Allow yourself to just be with what is.
To be a little more observant,
A little more tenderhearted.
And now bringing your awareness down to your arms.
Noticing what you're carrying on your shoulders and your arms.
Give yourself permission to let that go,
To soften.
Release any tension in the front of the hands,
In the palm of the hands.
And release any tension in the back of the hands.
And now bringing your awareness down to your feet.
Softening the bottoms of the feet as well as the tops of the feet.
Find your legs becoming heavier as well as your hips and glutes and the pelvic floor.
Allow yourself to be held by whatever you're resting on.
Letting go of the need to hold,
To control.
And instead,
For just this moment,
To just be cradled yourself.
Notice if that stirs up anything in the belly.
Just noticing what's alive in the belly.
Start to soften and release that.
Allowing yourself to soften and release the whole front of the body.
Any tension here.
Allowing yourself to soften and release the whole back of the body.
Feel the points of contact and connection to whatever is holding you here.
Soften the whole right side of the body as well as the whole left side of the body.
Once again,
Bring awareness and softness to your face.
Become aware of a warm washcloth resting on your face.
And allowing that softness to ripple into the rest of the body.
Feel your whole body breathing in and out like waves.
With each breath in,
Becoming more spacious,
Expansive,
And connected.
And each breath out,
Softening more.
Letting yourself become heavier,
More supported.
Stay here as long as you can in this space of push and pull.
Of opening and closing.
Of expansiveness and of returning to home.
Trust your inner wisdom that will know when it's time to slowly and mindfully start to return to the room.
Start to lengthen your breath and mindfully return to your day.
