Begin with a long,
Slow,
Steady breath.
Release everything that came before.
The shoulds,
The to-dos.
Allow yourself to just be.
Invite in another cleansing breath.
As you exhale,
Soften into this moment.
And start to imagine what it is that would bring you peace in this moment.
Refrain from getting lost in the thoughts of what it'll take to get there.
Allow yourself to imagine that state of peace.
What does it feel like?
What does it look like?
How do you breathe?
Start to embody that state of peace.
Really visualizing it and getting a good taste for it.
And just breathe here.
When the mind starts to think,
Starts to plan and strategize,
Starts to worry,
Return to your breath,
Especially focusing on the exhalation.
And come back to just visualizing that state of peace.
Notice how your belly feels.
Invite that peace into your shoulders and jaw.
Into the space behind your eyes.
Find a slow,
Steady,
Peaceful breath.
Rest here as long as you can.
And when it's time to return to your day,
Remind yourself of this state of peace.
And once we quiet our thoughts,
It's always here with us.
So take one more long,
Intentional breath in and out in this state of peace.
Not needing to do,
To prove,
To be anyone other than you are.
And start to carry this practice with you as you more mindfully return to your day.
