The Gift of Stillness invites you into the quiet centre that’s always been here, beneath the thoughts, the doing, the noise. In this short practice, Christopher gently guides you to rest in that place of ease where stillness isn’t something to achieve, but something to remember. Through simple awareness and soft attention, you’ll touch the heart of calm itself, the essence of being rather than becoming. Let this time remind you that stillness isn’t far away; it’s the natural rhythm of your own breath, waiting for you to notice.

If you can,

Come into a seated posture.

Allow the eyes to close.

Pause for a moment.

And allow rest to happen.

Don't fight with it.

Don't try to change this moment.

Allow it to be as it is.

We can't force stillness.

It's already here.

All we have to do is soften into it.

Notice your breath arriving and leaving.

Notice the body resting where it is.

Nothing to fix.

Nothing to change.

Just this.

Stillness itself is a gift.

Always waiting.

Always here.

Let yourself open to it now.

Like water,

Settling clear in a glass.

A quiet clarity rising from stillness.

And in a moment we'll bring this meditation to a close.

So begin to move the body slowly.

And gently open the eyes.

And carry this stillness with you out into the world.

Remaining still inside.

Even amidst the haste and hurry.
