This track is an invitation to let go, to release the day and rest deeply. As you settle, I’ll guide you with gentle words and a soothing rhythm designed to quiet the mind and ease the body into stillness. I'll also ask you to introduce a word of your choosing that reminds you that nothing matters so much that it should interfere with a good night's sleep. There’s nothing you need to do, nowhere you need to be. Just allow yourself to be carried by calm, soft tones and comforting guidance, and let me help you sleep. Music by Relaxing Time

Like many people,

I've struggled with insomnia and I've tried everything and one day I found something out all by myself that worked for me so I'm going to guide you now in a version of that hoping that it can do the same for you sometimes when problems come up in my own life I have a phrase I say it's a way of letting go of choosing not to carry the weight a simple moment of release mine is a swear word so I won't share that with you but it helps me to let go it helps me to see the bigger picture and it helps me to understand that nothing is worth losing a night's sleep over and I invite you to find your own version of that now a phrase that says to your mind I don't need to solve this tonight I can put it down yours might be forget it or something similar so as you settle into your bed let your body begin to rest feel the mattress holding you notice how the weight of your body can already begin to sink let's start with your breath inhale slowly through your nose and then exhale longer through your mouth do it again a slow steady breath in and a longer breath out this longer exhale tells your nervous system it's safe it's time to relax now bring your attention to your body beginning with your face soften the muscles around your eyes your jaw your forehead notice the release then let your shoulders drop a little heavier let your arms grow warm and still feel your chest rising and falling with ease feel your belly loosening your legs sinking your whole body letting go parts by part if thoughts appear just meet them with your release phrase the same way that I do something inside you saying I don't need to hold this now let it drift let it go and return to the rhythm of your breath breathing in calm breathing out release breathing in peace breathing out what you don't need as your body becomes heavier and your mind quieter imagine yourself floating as if the mattress beneath you were a soft raft gently rocking on calm water safe supported at ease and as you rest here the natural rhythms of sleep are already approaching like waves moving gently towards the shore you don't have to force it you don't have to try just keep letting go again and again and soon without even noticing sleep will arrive
